NHK for School

This is the official Android app to access “NHK for School”, the educational video service for schools offered by NHK(Japan Broadcasting Corporation).

You can easily watch about 8000 educational videos in various subjects including Japanese, math, science, social studies, English, physical education, music, and more.

*Some of the videos are distributed only in Japan.

■ Recommend:
We recommend videos based on your school years, favorite subjects or programs of interest.
After you have watched videos, please choose any of the six impression buttons.

■ Rankings:
The numbers of your impressions will determine various rankings of videos.
You can watch the top ranking videos in each six impression categories such as funny, inspiring, surprising, etc.

■ Playlists:
You can make your own playlist and switch the order of the videos. You can also share your playlists with your friends and teachers.
Take a look at NHK’s selected playlist as well.

■ Badges:
Watch videos and get badges.
The more videos you watch, the more badges you can get. Then, you can upgrade your title from “fan”, to “professional”, and then to “master”! Try to get all the badges and become a “master” in all genres!
