OA.Central for Olympus Air for Android
This suck
After the firmware was updated using Olympus Camera Update and the version 1.0.2 version of this software was installed the app could not connect to the wifi. Bluetooth connected ok but no go using Samsung SG3. Connects perfectly with my old Apple iPhone 3. As a result I need to carry the old iPhone for the Olympus AIR.
Tried using the app to connect but no matter what I do no luck. Tried manually to pair as the phone sees it but won't connect. Tried WiFi with password provided too. So far the camera is useless.
The camera performs great. This software is a slug. It's fine if you don't mind taking 5 minutes set up everyone you want to stop and take a shot.
If your going to make a camera, there's two parts, the hardware and the software. The thing with the Olympus Air is that there isn't an on camera user interface. You have to rely fully upon the app to control the hardware. The camera is awesome, but it's pointless if you can't control it! This app is literally the other half of the camera, and honestly the software is so crucial to the shooting experience you'd think Olympus would put more effort into it. In I think this app falls short of what it could be.
First Impression...Its surprising quite good, response is fast, and once connected, its fun, and lots of filters to explore with. How about Time Lapse, or Action Scenes? Hoping to see more upcoming features to the App. No problems with LG V10....UPDATE...the app is very unstable always loses connections, both BT and Wi-Fi.. So annoying....
Use on smart phone and take photos holding camera in a tree, or mount on tripod and wifi what camera sees. Great for selfie,
I have not been able keep a stable connection between the Air A01 and my Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, or S5 phones. Not sure if the problem is the hardware or the software.
I am using it on my Note3. The connectivity is slow but the technology is amazing. An option for a cord connection would be awesome. The ability to take high quality photos and be able to upload them immediately is incredible.
The "mode dial" camera function locks up my Galaxy Note Edge running Android 5.0.1 but I can shoot stills without detailed control using "colour creator" mode and video works fine. I hope there is an update soon.
My Note 4 crashes any time I change a setting in anything but iAuto. It's fun but needs a fix. Update: fixed, bad phone.
Works very well on a Moto G 3rd Gen (2015). Unfortunately, crashes every time on Galaxy S6 :-( Olympus, please work on better Samsung compatibility. Thank you.
On both my MotoX (2013) 4.4.4 and Nexus 7 (2013) Lollypop can't reliably connect to my Air and when connected, both have very low refresh rates. Could be network interference but I live on a farm surrounded by 6000 acres and only my home's single wifi router. Also, the MotoX can't open Dial app, only the other apps. Need a firmware update and improved channel hopping or something to improve connectivity and throughput on Android! I still have my return window with B&H and will be returning the Air soon...
Crashes constantly on the G3. It seems to take information in from the camera, but nothing I do on the phone has any effect on the Air.
...on my Note 4! Connects easily, wakes the Air up when sleeping, downloads great too. A little latency but it's not an issue. Really dig using the Air, OA Central, my bag of micro 4/3rds glass and the Note 4.

If you have Android 7.1 or greater return your Olympus Air! The app works on my Android 6.0/7.0 devices but not 7.1.1 so you will have wasted $400 on the Air if you have a modern phone. I've been trying to get an answer the last 4 weeks on whether they're working on a fix and they keep telling me they'll call me back with an answer, which they never do.
