Switching on / off the automatic rotation can be set from the notification area and widget.
Usage:
Adding the Lock Rotation Widget into Home screen. The notification area icon is added automatically to place the Widget.
Notification area icon will disappear if you remove the Widget.
Touch the icon in the notification area or Widget, toggle switch in the on / off the automatic rotation.

The app itself is great, I like everything about it. But the actual icon is so ugly! Can it not be designed to match the standard android icons or sonethig as opposed to ugly grey square? You'd get five stars for better icon!

And second, usually I don't rate nothing, but here it was important to me, to say that I uninstalld, this because there is no option to disable the icon in the status bar, and I say - WTF?!?! I mean, I really want to say it's a good app, but there is no other functionality to this app, so until then, 1 star

It works! Cause the basic orientation of my motorola xoom tablet is landscape, many other apps didnt work properly. But this app did. I think many tablets have the same problem, and this would be the solution.

A little room for improvement would be the look of the icon. To me, the icon you use here would suit my screen better than the given one (with canvas texture).

It works great on my motorola xoom. I like how it appears on the taskbar so I can easily toggle on off the rotation lock.
