「N2 TTS」は株式会社KDDI研究所が開発した日本語音声合成ソフトウェア「N2」をベースとする、Android標準音声合成インタフェース準拠の日本語テキスト音声合成ソフトウェアです。簡単な設定を行うだけで、Androidスマートフォンに日本語文章の読み上げ機能を追加することができます。


【対応バージョン】
Android 1.6以降
※ 動作確認はAndroid 4.4/5.1/6.0で行っております
※ 追加声質データの利用にはAndroid 4.0以降が必要です。


【Android 5対応に伴う設定項目追加と推奨設定変更】
Android 5対応に伴い、「KDDILABS N2 TTSの設定」画面に「デフォルト声質」と「言語設定にによる声質選択」(デフォルト:有効)の設定項目を追加しています。これらの設定項目は、Android 4.0以降でのみ有効です。
Android 4.0以降でN2 TTS 1.4.7以降を利用される場合は、次の設定をお勧めします。
・「設定」画面における「言語」は"日本語(日本)"に設定
・デフォルトの声質は「言語」設定ではなく、「KDDILABS N2 TTSの設定」の「デフォルト声質」で設定


【使用方法】
インストール後、メインメニューに追加された「N2 TTS 設定」アイコンをタッチし、最初に表示される利用規約をよくお読みいただき、利用規約に同意いただける場合は「利用規約に同意する」にチェックを入れてから「OK」を押してください。なお、利用規約に同意いただけない場合は、「N2 TTS」を使用することはできません。

その後の設定は、バージョンにより異なります。

(Android 4.0以降の場合)
1. 「N2 TTS 設定」→「テキスト読み上げの設定」を選択
(あるいは、メインメニュー「設定」→「言語と入力」→「テキスト読み上げ」を選択)

2. 「テキスト読み上げ」設定画面で「優先エンジン」の項目にある「KDDILABS N2 TTS」を選択(一番左側の部分)
※注意事項が表示されますので、確認の上で「OK」を選択してください。

3. 2で選択した「KDDILABS N2 TTS」と同じ列にある設定ボタン(一番右側)を選択

4. 「設定」画面の「言語」で、「日本語(日本)」を選択

5. 「テキスト読み上げ」設定画面に戻り、「サンプルを再生」で、サンプル合成音が聴こえれば設定は完了

(Android 2.2/2.3/3.xの場合)
1. 「N2 TTS 設定」→「テキスト読み上げの設定」を選択
(あるいは、メインメニュー「設定」→「音声入出力」→「テキスト読み上げの設定」を選択)

2. 「テキスト読み上げの設定」画面で「エンジン」の項目にある「KDDILABS N2 TTS」にチェック
※注意事項が表示されますので、確認の上で「OK」を選択してください。

3. 「テキスト読み上げの設定」画面の「デフォルト設定」の項目にある「既定のエンジン」で、「KDDILABS N2 TTS」を選択

4. 「テキスト読み上げの設定」画面の「デフォルト設定」の項目にある「言語」で「日本語(日本,fa001)」(女声)、「日本語(日本,mb001)」(男声)のいずれかを選択

5. 「テキスト読み上げの設定」画面の「サンプルを再生」で、サンプル合成音が聴こえれば設定は完了

(Android 1.6/2.1の場合)
※Eyes-Free Projectが無料で提供している「Text-To-Speech Extended」をGoogle Playからダウンロード、インストールする必要があります。
(Android 2.1以前では、Text-To-Speech Extendedに対応したアプリのみ日本語音声合成機能を利用できます。)

1.「N2 TTS 設定」→「テキスト読み上げの設定」を選択
※「Text-To-Speech Extended」がインストールされていない場合は、インストールの確認画面が表示されます。「はい」を選択するとマーケットアプリが起動しますので、画面に従い、「Text-To-Speech Extended」をダウンロード、インストールしてください。
※「Text-To-Speech Extended」が既にインストールされている場合は、2.から設定してください。

2. 「テキスト読み上げの設定」→「Text-to-speech settings」を選択
(あるいは、メインメニュー「TTS Service Extended」→「Text-to-speech settings」を選択)

3. 「Text-to-speech settings」画面の「Engines」の項目にある「KDDILABS N2 TTS」にチェック
※注意事項が表示されますので、確認の上で「OK」を選択してください。

4. 「Text-to-speech settings」画面の「Default settings」の項目にある「Default Engine」で、「KDDILABS N2 TTS」を選択

5. 「Text-to-speech settings」画面の「Default settings」の項目にある「Language」で、「日本語(日本,fa001)」(女声)、「日本語(日本,mb001)」(男声)のいずれかを選択

6. 「Text-to-speech settings」画面の「Listen to an example」で、サンプル合成音が聴こえれば設定は完了


【外部への情報送信について】
本アプリケーションは、入力されたテキスト及びその統計情報(単語出現頻度等)、声質選択履歴及び選択頻度情報を含め、端末からお客様情報を外部に送信することはございません。


【制限事項】
・音量を上げた場合、音割れ等が生じることがあります。

Android 3.0～4.0.2では、以下の制限事項があります:
・「N2 TTS設定」アプリの「テキスト読み上げの設定」メニューから、Android 標準の「テキスト読み上げの設定」画面に直接移動できません。

Android 2.1以前のバージョンでは、以下の制限事項があります:
・Text-To-Speech Extendedの設定画面における話速設定に関わらず、各アプリでのデフォルト設定は常に標準話速となります。
・音割れ等により合成音声の品質が低下することがあります。
・「N2 TTS」をアンインストールする際は、必ずその前に「Text-to-speech settings」画面で、デフォルトのエンジンを「KDDILABS N2 TTS」以外に変更するか、先にText-To-Speech Extendedをアンインストールしてください(なお「Text-To-Speech Extended」は「TTS Service Extended」と表示されることもあります)。それらの操作を行わなかった場合、Text-To-Speech Extendedや音声合成機能を利用するアプリが正常に動作しなくなることがあります。(その場合は、Text-To-Speech Extendedを一度アンインストールしてください)

"N2 TTS" is based on a Japanese voice synthesis software "N2" developed by KDDI R & D Laboratories, is Android standard speech synthesis interface compliant Japanese text-to-speech synthesis software. [Recommended setting change Android 5 corresponding to the associated setting item Add]
Android 5 in accordance with the correspondence, to the "KDDILABS N2 TTS Settings" screen and the "default voice", "voice quality selection by the language setting": adds a setting item (default enabled). These settings item is valid only in the Android 4.0 or later.
If you are using the N2 TTS 1.4.7 or later on Android 4.0 or later, we recommend the following settings.
- "Language" in the "Settings" screen is set to "Japanese (Japan)"
• The default voice quality is not the setting of "Language", set in the "default voice quality" of the "KDDILABS N2 TTS Settings"


【how to use】
After installation, touch the added "N2 TTS Settings" icon on the main menu, the first to thoroughly read the terms and conditions to be displayed, if you agree to the Terms and Conditions check the "I agree to the Terms of Service." 1. Select the "N2 TTS Settings" → "text-to-speech settings"
(Alternatively, the main menu "Settings" → "Input language" → Select the "Text-to-speech")

2. Select the "text-to-speech" in the item of "priority engine" in setting screen "KDDILABS N2 TTS" (part of the left-most)
Precautions will be displayed ※, please select "OK" on the confirmation.

3. Select the Settings button (far right) in the same column as the selected in the 2 "KDDILABS N2 TTS"

4. In the "language" of the "Settings" screen, select the "Japanese (Japan)"

5. Return to the "text-to-speech" setting screen, in the "play the sample", setting if the sample synthesized sound is Kikoere is completed

(In the case of Android 2.2 / 2.3 / 3.x)
1. Select the "N2 TTS Settings" → "text-to-speech settings"

【Limitations】

In Android 3.0 ~ 4.0.2, has the following limitations:
• From the "text-to-speech settings" menu of "N2 TTS Settings" app, you can not go directly to the "text-to-speech settings" screen of the Android standard.

Android 2.1 in the previous version, the following restrictions apply:
- Regardless of the speech speed setting in Text-To-Speech Extended setting screen, the default setting in each application is always standard speech speed.
· The cracking sound like the quality of the synthesized speech may be reduced.
- "N2 TTS" when you uninstall, always in the "Text-to-speech settings" to the previous screen, or to change the default engine to something other than "KDDILABS N2 TTS", earlier in Text-To-Speech Extended Please uninstall the (it should be noted that "Text-to-Speech Extended" is sometimes displayed as "TTS Service Extended").
