Walkroid - simple pedometer for Android
This is the app for me cause I just want to track my walk. It just stops working and I have to uninstall and download again. I wish you would fix that issue.
The app does not track the miles accurately
Love it! Have used it for a while now. Very simple and easy to use.
I used to is this app a lot. I noticed that it's way too sensitive. I see some people saying it doesn't count steps. But for those who think they're walking a lot, consider this: while sitting on my couch looking at this app I slightly moved my hand and it counted 2 steps. I was surprised so I intentionally moved slightly again and it counted more. Sitting on my butt.
Love this simple pedometer app. I didn't want any of the other features so many other apps have. I wish there was an option to pay for no advertising and the widget was better. Use it every day, thank you.
On many occasions walkroid doesn't even count steps after walking a considerable amount of time.
If only it could be links with the walgreens app
It works.May not be perfect but that is understandable.
Don't have to sign your life away or "join" anything, it works right away....thanks I like that. Don't need connection to work either!
Really good easy to use ????????
Does what it says on the tin.
Ive had this for 10secs and already loving as it is really accurate (I counted the steps myself and the pedometer had got the same amount of steps!????)
Worked very well on Android 4.3 however not working on Marshmallow. Can you please help.
It is sure accurate for counting your steps! Good investment for seniors to keep track of how far you've gone.
Poor app. I walk from my desk to the printer an it count 123 steps. It is about 15 steps apart.
I've had Accupedo for years, but I just got a new Asus Zenfone. I went through five pedometer apps before I found one that would actually count my steps. Walkroid is the only one! I eventually got Accupedo to count sometimes by hiking up the sensitivity, but then it was always well over my number of steps just walking across my house. Walkroid gets a little ahead sometimes too, but only by one or two steps in those small batches. Even Google Fit isn't counting properly. So whatever it is the developers did completely differently than the other apps I tried, thank you and don't change it.
Simplicity is key - this is the nicest pedometer app on the play store. I wasn't trying to lose weight or do fitness exercises or need anything to keep track of plans etc. I just wanted to be told how many steps I took, which is what this app provides.
It worked great on my Sony Xperia with Android 4.3. Now having upgraded to Huawei p9 lite with Android 6.0 it seems to work very erratically, such that I am considering deleting the App. How can I turn the App on and leave it on all day as I was using it on the Sony. That is all I want, then it would be a 5 star App for me.
What a joke! I thought I have find the perfect pedometer until I've discovered that I can "make" steps by sitting in the chair and just shaking the phone.....
The worse pedometer yet. I average 6500 to 7500 steps in an hour. This app said I had 4200. Horrible
It counts when I'm sat on the sofa moving my phone!! Inaccurate and the inches to your step adjustment seems to make no difference. Shame.
Best pedometer on my Android 5.1 phone. Accurate, simple and to the point settings, great help page. I would gladly pay for a version free of ads. Bravo!
Super duper simple basic app for steps walked in a day and miles. It works really well
Nice simple ped meter. Love that step length is adjustable.
Works for me.
Good
App adds steps just by picking up phone or moving it. Used against other apps reading's different. Be worth more stars if this didn't happen.
When I scroll down on the daily log to get to other days, the other dates are blurred while scrolling until I stop scrolling. Needs to fix bugs
I love it counts all my stepps the only thing is if i just move my phone it counts it as a step.
Simplest and most accurate. I can count along with my steps. Doesn't count calories or anything like that, but that's a tiny set back for its accuracy
I use Moto G 3rd gen .(Marshmallow) and Walkroid is not consistent. I have LOTS of RAM & juice and I set this app to high priority and always on. After 5 hours of gardening and housework, it registered 810 steps. Still, the app said it was working. If you can tell me what else I can do to fix this, you'll get more stars. If you know your app doesn't work with specific hardware or versions of Android, please indicate that on your Playstore page.
Simple. Easy setup, then just check how much you walk every day. On the Nexus phones we've never seen stops or other issues I see others reporting.
Love this simple pedometer app. I didn't want any of the other features so many other apps have. I wish there was an option to pay for no advertising.
The app works awesome with my sony xperia M5
Works extremely well. Simple and clear display. Just great.
Recently upgraded to an LG v10 with Android 6 and walk Droid doesn't work any longer. It used to be awesome, silently and reliably running jn the background but now I'm lucky if it picks up 500 steps a day. Why is is stopping all the time?
It worked great on my Sony Android 4.3. Now having upgraded to Huawei Android 6.0 it seems to work very erratically, such that I am considering deleting the App.
After the upgrade to 6.0 nothing really works right anymore so I don't know but it has stopped working so I'm uninstalling.

Thus is a very useful app with the required functionality with none of the unnecessary frills. On my Nougat version OnePlus 5T, there is a shelf icon saying it us running in the background. I wish to remove that icon, even when it us running in the back ground.bbis it possible?
