I really don't want to knock something that's free. Please consider this constructively. The app locks up my galaxy 10 tablet. It works for a couple of minutes and after zooming in and out and sliding the map around, it locks up. When it works, its very easy to approximate and doodle with your finger to measure an area on the map. I had to find what I needed on Google maps and then come back to this app because I wasn't familiar with a remote location. I wish it had a search feature. I used the app for 15 minutes and uninstalled because of locking up. Frustrating. Still 4 stars.

Needs to add the ability to trace, then move the map then trace more.

Can't measure beyond screen

Cannot trace for longer distances. Also cannot *continue* tracing after we stop.

I liked old Google maps because you tapped to measure, rather than drag. That allowed us to make straight lines, and zoom and scroll while tracing a complex path. This doesn't let you do any of that, plus feet should be a unit of measure. I like that there is an area measurement tool.

Nice app, accurate and quick measuring, only need to trace beyond the screen edges.

Nice app but why cant I enter a location manually?

I started using this after Google took away the measure feature. All you need now is a traffic layer and directions/navigation and it'll be better than the crappy "new" Google maps

Go to Asia, I live in the USA. Remove!

You can't move the map while tracing the route so unless you can fit the whole journey in to a single screen its pointless.... I recently cycled around 35 - 40 miles over my local mountains and wanted to measure and record my route but this app failed big time

Intuitive UI, does exactly what it says. Should be implemented as an addon in Google maps. Smooth app.

Great app! I can measure the acreage of land or the distance around the perimeter easily.

Really bad. I uninstalled straight away. Can't trace and move map. Useless.
