アリの街のマリア

第二次世界大戦で負け、東京が焼け野原になり、家族を亡くし、夜寝る場所を失った人が大勢いました。隅田川の、言問橋のそばのバラック小屋が集まる場所には、力を合わせて一緒に生きていこうという人々が集まっていました。小さな街は「蟻の町」と呼ばれ、彼らは廃品回収をして生計を立てていました。しかし、廃品は汚く、臭いがしたので、人々から嫌われていました。ある日、きれいな着物を着た若い女性が訪ねてきました。大学教授の令嬢として、何不自由なく暮らしている北原玲子でした。どうして、彼女はこの汚い街にやってきたのでしょう。これは、「蟻の街のマリア」と呼ばれた北原玲子の短い生涯を描いた物語です。 Defeated in World War II, Tokyo becomes burnt ruins, to eliminate the family, there was a lot of people who have lost a place to sleep at night. Of the Sumida River, in the barracks hut gather location beside the Gentoi-kyo, people called Let's live together and the combined forces had gathered. A small town is called "ant of town", they had made a living by the salvage. However, waste is messy, because the smell was, it had been hated by people. One day, a young woman wearing a beautiful kimono came to visit. As daughter of a university professor, it was Reiko Kitahara that living what crippled without. Why, she would of came to this dirty town. This is the story that drew the short life of Reiko Kitahara that was called "Maria of the city of ants."
