■LPICレベル１とは

数ある資格の中で、LPICはITエンジニアの中で「取得したい資格」で8年連続No.1を獲得している（LPIC公式サイトより）、腕に覚えのある技術者の実力を保証するには欠かせない資格です。

LPICにはレベル1からレベル3まであり、それぞれにバージョンが存在します。レベルが高いほど出題内容は上級者向けになり、バージョンは出題範囲の違いとなっています。時代によって必要とされる技術は変遷するため、それに合わせた出題範囲へと数年ごとに更新されます。

レベル１は101試験と102試験があり、両方に合格するとLPICレベル１に認定されます。LPICレベル1は、下記が問題なく行えるというレベルの試験内容となっています。
・Linuxコマンドラインで作業を行うユーザの支援、大規模システムへのユーザの追加。
・バックアップとリストア、停止と再起動といった、簡単な保守作業を実行する(Xを含む)。
・ワークステーションのインストールと設定や、そのワークステーションのLANへの接続、
　またはモデム経由でのスタンドアロンPCのインターネットへの接続を行う。
