Voice Control for Sony's Smart Bluetooth® Speaker BSP60
Please note: This application cannot be used on its own.
To use this application, you need to have a Smart Bluetooth® Speaker BSP60 and its corresponding host application.
The icon for this application will not appear on your phone's home screen even after the installation.
Voice Control is an application that lets you command your device with your voice. Its functions include setting alarms and reading out text messages and checking your schedule.
Important: If Voice Control is not working after upgrading to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), please visit the following page to resolve the issue:

How to speak to Smart Bluetooth Speaker:
1. Touch Control light 2 on the upper right corner of Smart Bluetooth Speaker.
2. After you hear "What can I do for you?" you will hear a tone. Then, please wait for a moment and start speaking.
You can activate Voice Control without touching Control light 2 by saying "OK, Speaker" to the device.
If you would like to use this feature, go to the Smart Bluetooth Speaker app's SETTINGS menu and turn on Trigger word.

Update. Voice control wouldn't work at first, now solved after shouting at Sony. They sent fix to reinstall mobile OS software and this fixed the fault. Speaker now fully functioning.

It's totally disingenuous of Sony Mobile to suggest that you should uninstall the Google app on your phone for this to work. Why would you want to do that with your latest flagship Sony mobile running Nougat 7.0? Sony Mobile should stop selling the expensive BSP60 if they can't get it to work properly on their latest smartphones. They're an absolute disgrace. I've managed to get this to work straight off on my Sony tablet running Marshmallow 6.0.1 without any problem at all. And I didn't even need to change any permissions! 'Designed for phones' indeed not! In fact I think the problem isn't with the Google app but with a conflict with the other Sony Voice Extension app for the Smartband Talk on my phone. I'd have to delete that and reinstall this one and reconnect the BSP60 to my phone. But I get much more use out of my Sony Smartband Talk to want to do that and I've got better things to do with my time. I've wasted enough of it already.

I updated Android to 6.0 Marshmallow and the speaker said to check phone. I did what the help guide asked me to do and it still does not recognise voice. Please fix this.

FIX THIS.....or license voice software that actually works. Random sounds activate the speaker and getting it to understand recognized commands is a crap shoot.

Why every time I ask it something it shows that the interaction has been interrupted because the connection between your smartphone and the device has been lost, it also says I need to check my bluetooth connection which is obviously fine all the time. Really need an official explanation for the expensive toy.

Phone keeps disconnected from speaker. Yesterday was working fine but today I cannot control voice or receive sound from phone. Just play music works fine.
