BOSS Tuner for Android
I said the truth, they beat a blank but none will compare with a Boss -TU-13, or the Boss TU-10 clip on tuner! Or what ever your favorite flavor
Why does it look like the actual pedal? The TC Electronic polytune app (app store only) is better looking. Plus, the app icon is far from material design. But this will do for now
I can't believe they give this thing away for free. This is even better than a tuner you could pay for. And for those who think it's too sensitive, you just need to go to Settings and turn the sensitivity down. Well done Boss! Thank you so much!
Clean and simple interface makes it easy to get my guitar in perfect tune. It doesn't have all the functionality of the real pedal, but if that's what you need then just buy the pedal. Best of all, it's free without any nonsense like ads or in-app purchases.
Amazing enough this works like the real thing. Please don't stuff it up by putting ads in. The News page is great no annoying ads popping up to disrupt the true function of the app. Well done, keep it like this and you have a wining ap. To other users please try this app and support the developers... BTW great rage of BOSS products available on the News page.
Way way way too sensitive. Even after you've turned down the sensitivity option & that's sitting in a quiet room. I'd hate to try & gig with this as the background noise would play havoc with this App. I've seen the needle go crazy whether I'm sitting quietly or if I quietly move my hand to the tuning peg to raise or lower the pitch. It doesn't matter what I do as it cotinuously jumps between notes rather than staying on a preferred note. Because of this & it's constantly changing keys it's just not up to the job.
Tuned with this app, then checked against my real BOSS TU3 and found my bass about a 1/4 step sharp on every string. It might be fine if you're just jamming around and want your strings in tune with each other, but if you're playing with other people or recorded music, it's worthless. Don't bother with it.
This is a very accurate version of the strobe tuners we used to use in band and orchestra growing up. Might be a little tougher for a novice to use, but a great tool for tuning accuracy. Nice work!
Sensational and what great bang for your buck. The nonsensical whinging from some reviews bears no resemblance to the fact that this does all it says and as seasoned muso I'll give you a tip, down load the unit and enjoy.
The accuracy of this tuner blows every other tuner app I've tried (5-6) straight into the stratosphere using nexus 7 2012. Not even my handheld tuner is this good!
I used a TU-2 live for years. Still have 3 or 4 floating around. I always have my phone on me and this does the trick every time. Accurate and has that classic boss look. Love it.
I've used tons of tuner apps, this one blows them all out of the water. Not just the best tuner apps, but one of the most useful apps I've ever downloaded.
No irritating adds to get in the way, no constant nagging for updates and upgrades, works exactly as intended. It's certainly not as good as a legit tuner, but it'll do in a pinch.
Finally playing on tuned guitar. After endless torture with all possible tuning apps
Buttons don't work. Has all the limitations of a pedal without any of the benefits. Looks good, but there are plenty of better tuners for Android.
Works nicely, not excessively sensitive like most others, which makes it practical. But most of the interface is dedicated to the image of the physical tuner, leaving little toom for the most important part. Juveniles will like this, the pros will use something else.
Couldnt even identify which string im hitting. Its not a device problem because guitar tuna works perfectly on my phone
Useless for doing anything other than calibration of tuning forks, even tuning guitars.
Simple, but not accurate. All over the place tuning. Definitely for fan boys
Brilliant! A BOSS tuner pedal on my Android! How great is that? Even picks up an electric guitar without an Amp. Just tweak up the sensitivity in a quiet place. Handy when you don't want to go through a bag of leads and FX pedals to tune. Full marks.
Does what I need. Accurate and responsive enough for a phone app. It's not a Peterson strobe, but it works great.
I went through a few apps which were crap and overrated till I got to this 1. Bloody marvellous
A bit over-sensitive, regardless of the setting, but I'm sure that this will be addressed in the near future. Otherwise, it's great, and will be staying on my phone!
Incredible tuner from a trusted music brand. Works the same as the real thing! Free app vs $400.00 peddle. You decide!!! Excellent work guys!
When I was gigging back in the eighties, I always had a Boss chromatic tuner in my pedal board. Easy to use app, just turn it on and go
This app sucks. It doesn't even get you remotely close to being in tune. Waste of time. Bullshit app.
Remember this tuner is stompbox, so remember : to turn on/off, you have to stomp on your android devices..hehehe
This app is great, accurate and fast. The ads aren't annoying like most tuners.
Great tuner, really helps me out I'm in 7th grade orchestra and we have to start self tuning and this really help!
To those saying it's "overly sensitive", there's a 'sensitivity' slider in Settings. Otherwise, it's neat. Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
If your looking to buy the pedal but cant afford it, download this! Absolutly the best!
Useless. Extremely oversensitive so even in a quiet room its impossible to use it.
Amazing app. So much more accurate (and cooler) than other tuner apps I've had. Perfection.
I used some other tuner apps but they didn't feel right, this feels perfect! :)
Ts nice to have a stompbox on my device :). I hope it'll get more better with the updates.
Does exactly what I want it to do. Very sensitive so it picks up little background noises but it's still a great tuner
I had one of this stage tuners . The real thing. The only downside so far is that is too sensitive, can pick up any signal around which could be annoying for some people but not for me. App is 100% cool and accurate. To prevent the tuner from picking up all noise around just reduce the sensitivite in settings.
Simple, easy, and ready to use. Used it right after I downloaded the app. Plus being free is a one up.
I tried it to be see if it was better than similar apps, but it wasn't very sensitive

Definitely the best tuner app. I've tried a couple others and they were never as accurate as this one. It is overly sensitive but it reads the notes perfectly. Very convenient because now I don't need to plug into my TU-3 all the time. Highly recommend for all guitar and bass players.
