When first installed on nexus 6p it did indeed turn the screen off instantly. Great! Now however for some reason it takes about 10 seconds during which the screen is black but the soft keys and menu keys are displayed. The menu key doesn't do anything. If you tilt the phone at this stage the screen comes back on. Bizarre. Don't understand why it worked perfectly for a few days and now the delay.

Wanted something that would prevent wear and tear on the home and the power buttons and this works perfectly

This soft button saves wear and tear by turning off your screen without pressing your hard power on/off button. I use it on all my devices and it is completely reliable. I have tried the others but this is the simplest and the best. My only gripe is that the button doesn't align well with other icons.

The other ones claim to work just like your power button but they don't. They instantly put your screen into lock. This one acts just like your power button so if you have a delay it does not lock your screen.
