Canon Camera Connect

Total garbage. App used to work simply and perfectly. Connect phone to camera wifi hotspot and use it. Now a complex 'easy connection guide' has broken everything. App doesn't detect phone connected to it, easy connection guide displays a variety of different options inconsistently with no logic to it... I got it to connect via nfc once and never again and it even froze the camera to the point of having to take the battery out. Buy anything but Canon.

Although my t6 is entry level, the app say it allows remote live view. It does not fully. You cannot see live views when in the live view area. All functions work but it would be nice to see a live view of what the camera is seeing. Instead, you must take a picture and then view it. Other than that, love the app. It eliminates the need for a wired shutter release

I just purchased a Canon 70D and have used the app for a few days now. The only thing I noticed was the app takes a couple of tries to connect to the camera. The wifi could be connected, but the app was slow for this. Overall the control and images viewing/sharing capabilities are awesome to have. I don't have to take out my SD card just to see my photos on my phone anymore which makes social media posting much better. Besides one hiccup the app is great!

Most useless app of all time. Doesn't have a "select ALL pictures" function, so that if you want to save a batch of photos to a phone or tablet (which is what I do every day for peace of mind when I travel without a computer), you have to select them by hand one by one. Unbelievable.

The most frustrating, the most buggy, the most gimmicky app erver. Shame on canon for not allocating enough R&D fund for a piece of application! It even floze my Phone, had to force restart. Can use only once in testing after which it never ever works. T7i.

Vague setup procedure that doesn't continue after establishing a wifi connection with the camera -> useless app. I can download photos from a €200 panasonic just fine, but Canon can't provide this for a €800 camera

This app works great but comparing the transferred photo from my canon to my phone, the picture quality goes down and does not turn out perfectly fine how the camera image looks. Color changes while my camera holds a better and brighter resolution of color and quality. Is this normal or do I have to fix something?

Connectting my 77D to my Samsung S5 is extremely difficult, either by WiFi or bluetooth. I Uninstalled and installed many times and thought it could solve the problem, but it didn't work. Canon, please do a better job with this poor APP!!!

I use to be able to connect my G7X to my Samsung S4 Active but had to get a new phone (Samsung J7plus) and now I cannot access the camera remotely anymore. Is there any way to degrade the app back to the pre-updated version? This is very annoying.

First time installed. Worked great but then would not view photos. Have to completely close the app and restart it before it connects. Very slow communication between devices and no way to bulk select pictures for download

This app was very good at first and very easy to use! But all of a sudden my Wifi network didn't show up. I am very upset because I need to upload vlogs. Uh ad to delete all of my footage. I have deleted this app and re downloaded it many times. I have ran out of options please help,because I would like to keep using this app.

The older versions work just fine. This one ruined the simplicity of the app, its complicated as ever. I can't even connect to my camera and I tried reseting my phone and my camera

What the point of having a wi fi featured camera with no hard connection.?.. when it refuses to connect to any of 3 modern mobiles and a tablet, none of them pick up the digital signal from the camera... It renders the camera useless. The whole point of having such a piece of kit is to take pics, transfer to phone and upload to the cloud. Might as well just use your phone and cut out the middle man!

This app used to work, and it was a great feature. Updates have made it not work, so that the wifi connection opens but the camera and the phone no longer talk to each other. I love my Canon Camera. I have in installed this useless AP.

Useless. Bought a canon g9x on the strength of being able to transfer photos easily between camera and Samsung galaxy s7 using this app. Worked once, after many attempts, then unable to connect again. Instructions just take you in circles.

Cannot connect my tablet. Why cant I just switch the WiFi on my 6D mkii, connect to the tablet or phone to that and use? No they have to over complicate it with an 'easy connection guide'. Absolute rubbish.

Like others said, total garbage. Unable to connect to my 70d even if wifi connection was already established. The old EOS remote worked fine though.

Bought new LG V30 & app will not connect PSSX700 to phone. NFC doesn't work either. Completely useless without laptop. From camera screen if I click camera icon, & add device, it acts like phone is connected but never tries to connect. If I choose add device under laptop icon it searches but never finds phone.

The app used to work. Now it doesn't seem to realise that phone is already connected to my cam. Please fix this!

Used to be able to download images frm my canon 6d to my phone via this app. They updated it and now nth can be downloaded, despite clicking the download button with no response.

Worthless. Can not connect my Canon 70D at all to my Samsung S8+ phone. I have tried several times, and checked for better instructions on the web. It simply does not work!

I am so much mad n pissed off ????????????that after connecting to my Canon DSLR Camera, I cannot select all pics which i can see from the App. And I can only save each picture at a time not All of them at once. It took so much time to save 200 to 1000 photos one by one. So, Please I request improve the App n provide this Feature in the New Update that I can save All photos At once. Waiting for the Update.

App will no longer connect to Samsung S8 so can no longer add GPS location to pictures. App shows that phone is connected to the router, but app still thinks it isn't connected! Like a split personality, one part of the app isn't talking to the other.

Can't connect. Android phone shows that I've connected, but the camera display keeps waiting. Such BS. Really need this to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Been connecting to my computer for a while now. Very comfortable connecting and working with the EOS Utility. Alternatives or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Amazing app. I forgo the need of a computer and card reader because I can send photos directly to my phone and edit raw file images directly with Snapseed or various Photoshop applications. Absolutely wonderful. Just a little tricky to set up in the beginning but once you are able to connect... viewing, selecting, and downloading pictures on your phone directly from the camera? Wow. You can choose to resize your images if you must. Not sure how well it works with video.

Had to use the old S5 to connect to my camera because the app isn't compatible with the S7 sort that and and ill sort my star rating. Other than that it seems ok and will come in useful.

It used to work perfectly but cannot connect to the app via nfc anymore. And in the fluke chance it works out disconnects immediately. Please fix!!!

This app used to work fine but now my camera won't connect either via my home WiFi or using the option to connect to the camera WiFi network. Useless.

A bulk download option would complete the basic set if tools in this app. Remote cam is fun but not really useful without proper camera control.

Won't detect Canon EOS 6D. What the hell, old app worked fine. This one is useless

Use to be able to get raw files, now they compress them to very low quality jpegs when you only shoot and store raw files on the camera. Disappointing app

Diabolic App. The older version worked well but this is a total mess. If you want your smartphone to control a camera, then don't buy a Canon, because this App won't do it. I'll end up having to sell the camera and get a Nikon or something else that does have a working App. How Canon can get away with this is beyond me.

Camera live record or shoot is laggy, if our phone is far away (more than 2 meter) app will eror n don't support again..

Not Bad So far. Works fine on my Huawei y6ii. its simple.. just open wifi, connect to the camera and start the app. I have a suggestion could u please add the auto wifi connect with the dslr right with opening the app ? It could save more time and help access to the camera more easily. thanks for making this. hope more features come soon :)

it is good but i still can not add gps location tag to my photos. my camera is 760d, & i don't know why canon fix this. unless canon want us to putout another usd 250 for its gps device.

There is a learning curve to the application and may take a short period of time to be able to use the app. Once you get the hang of it, it's good.. Not great but above average.

This version still does not allow 70D camera control on a Moto 3g phone. Used to work a long while ago. Connection and viewing images OK.

Photos are not clear when I share from my canon "SX510 HS Power Shot" to my Redmi note 4 through WiFi.????????????

This app used to work perfectly. Now it can't even connect to my camera. So frustrating.
