WebAccess A for Android
Are you having a laugh, Buffalo Inc? Surely you couldn't have done a worse job of this app even if you tried. Very poor by today's standards. Lacks functionally, poor UI, frustrating navigation... Having said all that, I was able to connect to my LinkStation first time from my Samsung Galaxy S6. Please improve this app.
This app is cumbersome. It works but without menu access, lots of work and no player controls (Update in June 2017 - still not very usable. Samsung Galaxy S6).
Now you've broken it with the latest update, please fix it. I used to be able to connect to my NAS from anywhere, now all I see is the "loading" spinner. WTF?
I have a Samsung J3 phone and am unable to create folders or upload files. I am able to download by holding my finger on the file. I am currently looking for another program that will allow me to upload. I am very disappointed since the Iphone app worked fine.
Utter rubbish. Having tried to set it up for a couple of hours I found myself going around in circles and that is with some IT knowledge! I will be returning the NAS for a WD as NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!
Can't get my videos to play the buffalo app can view all my content but when I open a video it asks which app I want to use I select my phone's default and the video does not even load. Playing the video through the buffalo app does not work either both ways just display a black screen.
It will work 1 or 2 days a month otherwise says cannot connect to Internet (which it has) or password failure (which works connected directly to NAS via web). Also settings reset/default back everytime I try and 'reconfigure' to get it to sync again. App needs a major redesign for functionality & connectivity.
Awesome concept that was poorly executed. Most ppl save their photos to their SD cards and yet there is no way to back that up with this app.
Very easy to use. You must enable and set up web access service on the NAS in order for this to work. I can access my files anywhere now (4g or WiFi). I can play music or watch videos too from anywhere as well. Decent , simple app.
I have tried multiple times to configure this app to work with my Nas and have failed every time. I have uninstalled it reinstalled it followed the directions to the letter and nothing works. Horrible app.
No menu button available in my folder, therefore it is impossible to upload files on the NAS. This makes entirely useless the device
Great app. It does work. What you need to do is to work with your ISP. They block the ports of your internet home service making your NAS invisible from the outside. Once you have that figured out the app runs smoothly
Worst software ever. 16yrs IT work and I know bad software when i see it!

It's very basic and lacks functionality, even though it does connect to NAS. FTP through Solid Browser is probably a better option.
You have to register your NAS with their web services in order to use this app. Not good
Does not let you access your files from the web. You have to be on your home Wi-Fi network to access you r files. What's the point? That's why I have a home PC and a HTPC. This app is not very useful. Please add data over internet access.
The app works. But Buffalo please add player controls and cast! This app would easily be 5 stars if it had player controls and cast.
It does not work with Note8.
The sound does not work.

Galaxy s7 has no menu option and i cant manually upload anything.. Sucks
As Buffalo developed a good NAS this app is incredibly poor.
Used with multiple android devices. Terrible with all of them. How it has remained so bad for so long I'll never know. Possibly the worst supporting app I've ever encountered. Has very little functionality and what it has works badly. Will replace with a non-buffalo product as soon as I can afford another NAS.
The app works in the sense these you can access your files. But the interface is so old, like froyo style. Badly needs updating, interface, caching so images loads quicker then swiping, chromecast support etc
You co. Please, test apps you offer before put it on the market, otherwise is just a scam.
This app is so bad, I feel like moving away from Buffalo to something like WD.
I need to make sure that credit is given where credit is due. I purchased a Buffalo WWL660 some four years ago (a basic unit). I set this up so that one hard drive mirrors the other (for ultimate safety--especially because I occasionally need to physically move it). I use Buffalo's WebAccess A app via my Android's and Apples (or anything else that can access the Internet for that matter). I use hard drives with especially quick seek times also). I have it via RJ45 right to my Router (no PC / no nothing). Folks, this product works flawlessly! I have also set up for my church to so that they can give Internet users access to our web site, to our audio sermons, and to our music. I have used this thing without a single problem--some care in reading the manual and following directions is suggested here, but the result is just exactly what many folks need. By the way, I am a decades-of-IT-experience / retired person as well. I would not like to see Buffalo take heat for problems where documentation is misunderstood and I would not want those looking for a brilliant solution to not give this a try. Thank you Buffalo!

I'm a tech guy. Couldn't make it work in neither device w/ my Nas TERA. Never a problem to access it w/ both my Pc&Mac. Called BUFFALO Tech support (never nice). Called my ISP (good). I double-checked everything. Should work.. Nope. App simply won't work. Lost 2 h. Disinstalled. Will change NAS...
The configuration is quiet hard and sometimes is need to clean cache to fix problems about the connection. Automatic upload works great and data connection has worked after that I open the right ports on router, so I tried more and more times. It is possible to upload manually only files on internal storage (there is an error trying to upload any files from sd card). There is need to improve this last point and create a better guide for beginner users.
No more classic menu button on the Galaxy S6, so i'm unable to direct upload through the app. Selecting a picture and pressing share does open the app, but also needs me to open up the menu(which i can't because of the s6) and select the picture manually again. Really needs some improvements here! I want to upload some of my pictures directly when i'm on the move.
This app used to suck. Badly. This latest update as finally made it into what it should have been right from the start. operates possibly 10 to 20 time (no lie) faster than it used to. 'Bout time, Buffalo. Keep it up.
Back button and menu button the same on samsung Galaxy s7. Its impossible to use the menu becuase I just back myself right out of the app. Would appreciate a fix. All I want to do is add files to my linkstation.
I use this app primarily for the automatic upload feature and the best I can say is "It usually works". However: (1) It frequently loses my customised Upload Folder setting on my two tablets (but not my phone!); (2) It seems impossible to view the upload log if automatic uploading configuration is changed and another auto upload has not yet occurred; (3) Having set upload via WiFi only, I was horrified to find it occurring over mobile data on one occasion; (4) Limited range of file types for auto upload.

The option button key has disappeared making uploading impossible..still not working with latest update

Assuming that if the app worked, this review would have more stars. Most times star ratings get attention, and some times they do not. While I own the Terastation and wanted to access some of my device via my smartphone. The app promised to upload from my phone back to home. Which there isn't any way to actually do that short of tell the app to upload all of my content to the Terastation, which isn't something I want since I wish to organize my own work on my Terastation myself. Please work on adding a button to say. Upload here, would be most helpful.
