Guardian TE

The air purifier is great. The app leaves a lot to be desired, including better instructions on connecting to phone via bluetooth or WiFi. Bluetooth part seems straight forward, but WiFi not. Lacks specificity of directions and function needed to assure proper connection. Unable to get WiFi to work connect properly as a consequence.

Its an ok app but neads lot of improvements. Please add schedule control feature.

App does not connect to purifier. After the update witch was a fast update got everything up and running.

Took a few times to set up the wifi. Kept timing out. Please add support for smartthings and Google Home. The app works OK when on my home wifi. If I leave my home. Forget trying to connect to check or change the settings.

Chews up battery in the background.

Would not connect to Wi-Fi. Continually said to check the password.

Bluetooth won't connect.

Great app, and setup was flawless. Was able to setup an account, connect the device to WIFI and enable the Alexa skill (seriously though "gee gee" is a ridiculous trigger word) without any problems. It would be nice to have the app do more than act as a remote control. I would love to see the app include hourly / daily / weekly / long-term air quality trends. The devices have the ability to monitor and report the PM of the air quality. Why not go one step further and provide a graph of this data? Update: it does appear to have a serious battery drain bug that others here have mentioned.

I was so excited to get this air purifier, and I had no issue paying the extra for the one with the app for your phone. But it loses the connection continually. I thought it was my phone at first but I now realize I have to physically unplug the purifier in order to reconnect it to the phone. I saw another review on here saying the same. Very frustrating! Please fix this!

Amended review from 1 star to 5 star (their customer service responded very quickly to my email) : After my S6 Edge Plus updated to the new Nougat operating system I was not able to get the Guardian app to proceed any further than "initialize". I tried multiple things, with/without Bluetooth and WiFi, I Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Finally, I reinstalled, powered the cell off and back on and it works as it should. Original review : Doesn't work after cell Upgraded to the Nougat operating system. The app won't even initialize. $$$ down the drain for this added feature for this model

Terrible app, buggy and cannot connect to device. If any of your wifi/phone settings change, good luck trying to reconnect back to the purifier. No factory reset on the actual purifer, so it's impossible to completely start over.

It is slow, and uses a lot of my battery, even though I barely use it.

Good concept, but still a long way to go. 1) Put the app somewhere on your packaging or website. It's not clearly indicated anywhere. 2) The app is painfully slow. Seems like it was made in a week or something using some bootstrap software. 3) There's very limited functionality. Why can't I set a schedule for my purifier? What does particulate matter 3 mean? As a person who doesn't know squat about air, it would be nice to have this info all in the app. Anyway, purely stating this for constructive criticism

Purifier works great, but had some difficulty connecting to the purifier with my Galaxy S6. App almost finished connecting on the first attempt, then no further connection attempts were made by the app. I was successful only after unplugging the purifier for a few seconds after uninstalling the app and restarting my phone, then reinstalling the app.

I had to uninstall the app because it drained my phone battery very fast. I make sure I propery exit the app and my task manager didn't find it running but somehow this app is keep running on background all the time. Wifi function is great thing and the app actually works fine but if it drains the bettery and my phone is off most of the time, what good is that? Is this app keep collecting my personal info when not in use? I need some answers!!!

Serious battery drain issues and limited functionality. Can't set schedules or integrate with smart home.

Still issue connecting after first time. Also can't connect to Wifi. I get "Registration Error". Contact me if you want me to troubleshoot, I'm in IT. :)
