Had almost no issues, using my HDW-PU3 for about two years. Now it's giving me issues on a Redmi Note 1s. Won't obtain an IP Address unless I alter the WLAN connection to "static" , then the app says "not connected". So I then change it back to DCHP upon which it seems to connect but no files will play. I'm at my wit's end messing with this. What a drag. Is this an android bug? I dunno...

by O####:

Horrible interface and doesn't do what it needs to. On my Xperia no files are listed on the phone side so I can't upload anything to the drive to free up space, which was the main thing I needed this app for. I'd rather stream to my tablet instead, so the download side I'd want working with Windows, which is also not really supported. However, a windows share is open on 10.10.10.254 admin/admin, which has no file restrictions, so use the app to set up the Internet connection and then just use the open share

You can't copy whole folders just one file at a time!!!!!????? What use is that when you've just shot 200 photos!!!???????

Have put up with cranky interface for a while now, but since android updates have jerky mp4 playback. Now need to rename files as mpg etc. Time for a different bit of kit

You cannot access root directory to go to external sd card. Also buggy, cannot open folders in transfer mode. Works flawlessly on my Nexus 7 but useless on Galaxy phones.

Functional but looks terrible compared with modern apps.

Y70%
by Y####:

App seems to be hard coded to only allow access the local path /sdcard, which on many modern devices is actually internal memory, not the actual SD Card. This means there seems to be no way to transfer anything too or from an S3, and presumably other devices, to/from the MiniStation unless you only use the internal storage. :-/ Oh yes, and clicking on a mp3 on the MiniStation just causes the program to exit, nothing plays. Movies seem to be fine though, but they use a proper app. Please use allow the use of the music player of our choice, rather than your internal one.

1. cannot download big files 2. cannot download mkv files 3. unable to select chosen video player for mp4 files 4.default music player is crappy. unable to select other music players

...But they desperately need to either allow music files to be played by an external player, similar to video, or update the internal one to be able to read ID3 tags. Currently, albums are played in file name alphabetical order, which is useless... The new playlist feature is welcome, but doesn't seem to allow manual sorting, which would be useful and help overcome the ID3 issue.

Great idea. Will get even better with time.

Should allow uploading of folders and allow to play via any media player instead of just the built in one
