I'm an outliner junkie, and this app has almost all of what I need - enough to where I bought it and will stay, trusting that the dev will persevere. Great app w/loads of options and practicality.

Please add word count ability in each txt box..

Great job but the app is missing the most important feature to save and or open files from cloud (Dropbox, Google Drive). Without this capability as a professional in IT the app has no value.

I'll give you 5 star and buy your pro version

This is a must app for those who believe in organizing knowledge and making concept. I spent almost 6 hrs in searching such type of app and finally got this unbelievable app.

This stupid pile of crap threw everything away because I didn't press the save button. Didn't anybody tell you that save buttons aren't part of android standards!

Simple to use app seems to do exactly what I installed it to do, with one exception. This app should import files from the computer app Cherrytree, which does much the same thing. If it could find a way to share files with Cherrytree (Dropbox, perhaps?), so much the better.

I've only been using this for half an hour and I've been able to set up a "notes tree" that took well over an hour with two other hierarchical notes apps. Important factors: arranging data is managed by logical symbols or via the "Tree" drop-down menu. Beautifully logical, and good to have a tutorial, too! Thanks so much!

The strength of this app lies in its simplicity. Now my goto note app. Will also buy the paid version to support the developer :-)

Doesn't look like much at first but it becomes much more useful after turning on the extended functions and, more importantly, customizing the toolbar with the functions you commonly use. For the best experience, it's best to get the paid version because that lets you access more functions by holding down an entry so you don't have to rely solely on the toolbar.

Well designed, does what an outliner should do.

Not impressed. The app is very very slow.

While the ads are unobtrusive in this free version, I bought the paid app to support developer's work. Love, love, love this app! Great for writers and students alike! My favorite app of all time, no lie!

I needed an outliner for various purposes, from organizing mundane activities, to structuring travel itinerary, to plotting novels. So I installed, tested, and uninstalled one app after another, looking for the best one. For some reason I skipped this one but fortunately came back and tried it. It's great! The user interface works perfectly, very intuitive, and the display is clean. A clean, uncluttered display is very important. One reason to use an outliner is to break down complex problems by finding the order in them. You don't need a dense cluttered interface that crams the display full of stuff when you're breaking down a complex problem. This app's UI is well designed and uncluttered. I highly recommend this app.

It'd be better to Improve export capability to the extent of standard word processor file like docx or opendocument format, and also file attachment capability for every branch notes. Overall, it's the best for small screened gadgets, way to go.

A Treepad like app for Android. A little light on import and export, but very easy to use.

Excellent app. I'm writing a complicated technical book and am using this app (out of many tested apps) for its uncluttered pure functionality and ease of use.

Update solved my only issue . I have been looking for a simple treepad like app. Love the double pane view of tree and note. I used Halna today during a meeting. I was able to quickly organize and take down minutes of the meeting. The format of the saved output files are easy to interpret. You can create your own Halna files for import from text files. Rename to the proper extension. This is the best outlining app. The only suggestion I have would be for a simple text search feature.

I like the app, esp. the split panes, and would like info on how to create wz files, (or create my own Halna files for import from text files - Raymond M maybe you could help? If so, please email me at kvanj101*at*gmail. thanks)

This is brilliantly simple but gives excellent functionality - as a researcher this gives the flexibility that has been missing from android and (the dreaded) iPad ... being able to see the Tree and associated notes without having to go into some perverse "search" is a breath of fresh air ... worth spending money on when the final version appears - cant wait

I have tried a few outliners (thought I'd have a bash at writing a book) and there are some good.ones out there, Simplemind if you like boxes, Workflowy for basic simplicity, but this one takes the biscuit for me. Hana's tree structure helps the organisation process where boxes tend not to resolve much. All the controls you need are here. I got started straight away and haven't read the instructions yet. I'm saving the fith star for the paid for version
