I'm an outliner junkie, and this app has almost all of what I need - enough to where I bought it and will stay, trusting that the dev will persevere. Great app w/loads of options and practicality.

I am very happy with the paid version of Halna. Thanks for a great app. I have used Two paned outliners for years on my PC's. Halna is the closest to the PC versions I have been able to find. The paid version has many useful features that the free doesn't. I use Autosync to sync my outlines between my phone and Tablet.

Multiple views. Essential app. Best of its kind. Easy to use, powerful.

The only app that can split text into separate chunks. Highly customizable. Great app

Now I am very well organised! Still the best app in it's class

Nice set of features. Works well with Halna Mind.

Its default black & white does not distract me. It is fast, supports active links, autolink to plan a sitemap, keep a list, plan a party, export plain text or write a story. Now in May 2015, its file can open into a brand new app, HalnaMind. I like the outliner's lean look. Will the visual map be too busy for my brain? Maybe that cooperation is better for planning web links or shorter outlines. Shortfall? Still have to upload saved file up to cloud.

I'll find it more useful if more lines are shown on my phone screen. Thanks

Probably the best outliner for the Android platform. And I've tried them all. In addition to it's outlining capabilities a strong feature of this program is that it saves its files in plain text format so that you can import, export, and edit them in any plain text editor. My only suggestion for the developers would be that you expand the tree pane to allow more text and word wrap so that Halna could also function as a single pane outliner for writing purposes or speech notes or similar uses.

Can't believe his app has had so few downloads. Wish I'd found it earlier. There are dozens of similar apps in the Store, but this one out performs the rest due to its simple yet powerful interface. Very well designed and a pleasure to work with. Update: Just installed Halna Mind which is mind blowing!

Yes - this is the one. Kudos to the developers.

In the past two months, I've tried dozens of different note apps, outliners, and mindmappers, but I kept coming back to Halna. Why? It's fast! Thanks to keyboard shortcuts, creating, modifying and moving nodes around can be done very quickly. I have this long list and tried many different apps to categorize and sort it, and I was able to get it done fastest (and with the least amount of stress) in Halna. Want a super quick way to import text into Halna? Using a text file, place a "." in front of a paragraph you want to treat as a node. To make it a child node use two dots (".."), and three for another level, and so on. Paragraphs without dots will be imported as notes. Save your text file with a .hol extension and open it with Halna. Voila! You've imported your text into Halna, complete with branches and notes. Want to export it to text again? No problem. The .hol file is actually a text file. Just delete dot prefixes (and some field delimeters) and there's your text file in paragraph form. For it's speed, versatility, and rewards-you-for-learning-it-ness, I give Halna five stars.

A little clunky, but does everything I need. For planning and prioritizing I find it works better than some others I've tried. I would recommend it.

I bought the paid version! This is exactly what I was looking for to help me write articles and my novel. Works fantastic on my Asus Transformer tablet. I highly recommend this amazing app as it is a great tool for writers and students alike. Only 500 downloads thus far? This is the Play store's best kept secret...spread the word so the developer can continue their work on this great little app that has so much power!

I needed an outliner for various purposes, from organizing mundane activities, to structuring travel itinerary, to plotting novels. So I installed, tested, and uninstalled one app after another, looking for the best one. Halna Outliner is great! The user interface works perfectly, very intuitive, and the display is clean. A clean, uncluttered display is very important. One reason to use an outliner is to break down complex problems by finding the order in them. You don't need a dense cluttered interface that crams the display full of stuff when you're breaking down a complex problem. This app's UI is well designed and uncluttered. I highly recommend this app.

Halna works beautifully, and I knew I had to take the trouble to give it a rating after I got an almost instant reply from the developer when I sent a query. (The problem turned out to be with my Android phone, not Halna.) I'll save the fifth star for when the top title line is more elegant and when a few keyboard clicks have been removed.

The multicolor examples on google play store do not represent its best face: In its default black & white it does not distract me. It does not crash. It's speeds along as I edit my script, save and open another outline without the menus for tree and file management. Turn on autolink to plan your sitemap, collect info, plan a party, Export to plain text. Waiting for import richnote, rtf, txt and share to cloud or via bluetooth to my laptop. It has option for edit full screen, single or sequential note view.

Paid version would not save entries when first upgraded from free version on my Galaxy Note. App has since worked great. I like the simple UI and fact it saves to SD card in a format that can be imported into any text editor. Has replaced Outlier pro as my outliner app. Being able to share an outline would be an upgrade I would look forward to.

Excellent app. I'm writing a complicated technical book and am using this app (out of many tested apps) for its uncluttered pure functionality and ease of use. The effectiveness of this app is such that it should be listed as a Best App.

Great app. Could be used for note outlines, to do list, etc. Hope files can be synced with another devise or shared and opened in dropbox. That would be great.

Doggies! Rock-Solid App. Great UI. Great Everything! Update requests: Allow Select-n-Copy when not in edit mode. Convert http:// to clickable links, when in or out of edit mode. Allow for html img tags and render images. Allow for font manipulation (Bold, Colors, strike-through, etc)

I've been searching for an alternative to NoteLynx. If this app only supported Dropbox and Markdown (bold, italics, table) it would be close to perfect, lacking only drag-and-drop support. Sadly without that I have to stick with the other app.
