JohnnyBot Bluetooth Controller

Bluetooth를 지원하는 Android Device에서 누구나 손쉽게 johnnyBot을 RemoteControl할 수 있게 해주는 App입니다.

JohnnyBot은 Johnny + Robot의 합성어로 Johnny Studio에서 Arduino를 이용해 개발한 학습용/탐사용 로봇입니다.

참고로 아두이노(Arduino)는 오픈소스를 기반으로 한 단일 보드 마이크로컨트롤러입니다.

(어린이 및 어른들 장난감은 물론, 홀로 사는 독거노인 또는 세계 정복을 꿈꾸는 야망가들을 돕는 로봇입니다.)

통신 방식은 Bluetooth protocol방식으로 IEEE 802.15.1 산업 표준 규격을 사용하며, ISM 대역인 2.45GHz를 사용합니다.

버전 1.1과 1.2의 경우 속도가 723.1kbps에 달하며, 버전 2.0의 경우 EDR(Enhanced Data Rate)을 특징으로 하는데, 이를 통해 2.1Mbps의 속도를 낼 수 있습니다.

암호화에는 SAFER(Secure And Fast Encryption Routine)+을 사용합니다.

장치끼리 믿음직한 연결을 성립하려면 키워드를 이용한 페어링(pairing)이 이루어지는데,Johnnybot의 기본적인 pairing password는 보통 '1234' 또는 '0000'입니다.

johnnyBot Control방식은 크게 Manual Mode, Sensor Mode, Artificial Intelligence Mode, Speech recognition Mode가 있습니다.

App실행 시 기본적으로 방향 버튼을 이용해 Control하는 Manual Mode가 실행되며, JohnnyBot과 Bluetooth connect 및 다양한 command를 직접 입력할 수 있습니다.

그리고 Controller를 설치한 Device의 Sensor 및 JohnnyBot Handle의 재미와 즐거움을 추가한 Sensor Mode가 있으며, Bluetooth 통신 두절 및 자율 탐사에 사용되는 Artificial Intelligence Mode가 있습니다.

여기에 추가로 음성인식 기능을 이용하여 음성으로 JohnnyBot을 Control하는 Speech recognition Mode가 있습니다.

음성인식 기능은 'Speech'버튼을 누르고 "앞으로, 뒤로, 오른쪽, 왼쪽, 멈춰" 등의 명령을 내릴 수 있으며, 연속 Commend모드로 동작시키기 위해서는 헤드셋을 연결하여 연속 명령을 내릴 수 있습니다.

그 밖에 Command 직접 입력창을 이용하여 JohnnyBot Controller Interface에 없는 명령을 입력할 수 있으며 예로, '?'를 입력 시 JohnnyBot이 LED를 깜박여 자신의 위치를 알려줍니다.
