Engine Driver Throttle

Terrific app. Been having a problem with runaways when I (stupidly) held the Android volume increase button too long but that's been fixed in this release. Repeat rate for volume buttons is now the same as the on-screen speed buttons...protecting my trains from me. ☺️

I like the way it works, still learning it's capabilities. Seems rock solid with digitrax wifi. Also I like the panel access you get with jmri, you get to take the control panel with you.

I hooked up everything as shown in digitrax video. Only twice could I get it to connect when I press on the "discovered services". When it connected the app was awesome. Otherwise I want to bloody scream because I can't get the server to connect. App is a pain in the rear to exit out of. Uninstalled/reinstalled the app 5 times and still refuses to connect.

Works with JMRI and new Digitrax LNWI.

This is the best DCC Wi-Fi throttle for android.

Beyond cool. Works perfectly with Digital Zephyr and LNWI.

I just love using Engine Driver Throttle. Love showing the use of a mobile to control my loco's and routes to family and friends who are impressed. I also use a tablet for the Web view of my track plan. This is an excellent add on to JMRI, the combination just works so well. The work put in by all on both apps is much appreciated. Keep up the good work and when nessesary bring forward any enhancements.

Awesome app for model railroading with extra-ordinary support. Tremendous features built in with over-the-top flexibility in how it's set up. I wish more apps and developers were like this!

Excellent throttle app. Great speed control. Easy to use. A bunch of us use it on the giant LaMesa Model RR Club in San Diego and it works perfectly.

I am the first in my area to use Engine Driver on my G Scale outside layout and I love it and all my train buddies love using it outside during operations. Way better than the manufacturer's RC throttle.

Very good app, most of the members of the train club I belong to have started using it as soon as they saw how it works.

Worked first time I tried it on my old Samsung S4 phone. Saves me from upgrading to the radio version of my DCC system. A+

Have prodigy advance due to the terrible ergonomics of the hand held controller i found running my locomotives no fun at all. Was even thinking of giving up on my layout. I then Saw that jrmi was now compatible with gauge master so bought a gauge master computer interface cable to link the base unit with my laptop and then via WiFi to a galaxy ace phone with this app installed. What an improvement its made its now fun again so a big thank you to all the people who developed this app you saved my hobby

Use on both my Samsung phone and pad. Recently needed some support and developer responded quickly and helped me out. Like it better than my Digitrax DT402D - because of the labeled function keys in Engine Driver.

A train throttle software that is good for most dcc systems

Running a layout using a Raspberry Pi, Sprog and a bunch of old phones running Engine Driver. By far the least expensive way to have wireless DCC control.

It works a treat. I have never had any problems. Reliable and dependable.

Its an awsome app sorry i uninstalled it SDMRRA (the place i run) no longer supports the WiFi needed and is now takeing up space if the ever bring it back i will surely re install :) :) :)

Who wants to buy a controller when just about everyone has their own? Way better to not worry about sharing a controller or someone breaking yours!

Use this with both Digitrax and NCE systems with JMRI running on a Raspberry Pi. Most users don't have to know what DCC system is being used, and remember how to use a vendor-centric throttle.

I use this on my small home layout with JMRI and a SPROG; much better than my analogue set up was.

The app won't close! I do everything I know to close it and this box keeps popping up that says 'engine driver is running. Please connect to withrottle wireless. (Some numbers)' Like but would like to use my device without this app taking over the screen.

This app is awesome. Simple to run, gives access to throttle for anyone with a phone running it. If you need help setting up the wifi get it. It will be worth it.

I struggled with programming and running trains with the Digitrax throttle. Using this app made running trains fun again! I can call up locos by their name instead of remembering the address, and all the function keys are labeled in English. A much better experience using JMRI! Thank you for this wonderful app!

Updates have made this App even better. Best wireless DCC throttle ever, far better on battery drain than digitrax radio throttles Very cool throttle for my digitrax layout, awesome 3 throttle feature is the best.

Finally figured out the consist ability, had to disable something in the settings. It would be great if this could also play sound files like horns, bells, whistles for engines that don't have decoders, maybe even to different Bluetooth speakers. The jmri virtual sound decoder still has issues so this might be an easier route.
