About JIS
Jordanian International Schools was established in 1992, located in Tla’a Al-Ali, Usamah Bin Munqeth Street.
Since JIS was founded, we have been committed to academic excellence and dedicated to promoting lifelong learning.
We pride ourselves in providing the IGCSE and A-level programmes to our students besides the National Curriculum that is taught in grades one to twelve. In addition to this, we offer the Cambridge Checkpoint tests for English, Mathematics and Science for both Primary and lower Secondary students.
We will continuously ensure and improve the quality of our teaching through on-going development of our skills as educators and by responding to feedback from students' evaluations. When planning and conducting educational activities, we recognize our students’ interests and needs to provide learning opportunities in every activity.
School Vision & Mission
Vision
JIS will endeavour to become a lifelong learning community committed to academic excellence in a changing global society.
Mission
Our mission is to encourage and recognize excellence of students and staff, provide a supportive environment for them to be lifelong learners and promote thinking and research skills to nurture productive and responsible citizens.
JIS seeks to be a center for excellence in education providing its students with a sound cognitive foundation for their lives and preparing them for admission to the universities of their desire.
We at JIS prepare our students to be capable and responsible to lead their potential life in the face of challenges standing ahead of them in the future.
We also motivate self-learning and develop the ability to make them able to take decisions in shaping their country, learn about their heritage and be open-minded for the world.
As the world is growing and expanding rapidly, JIS offers an educational environment based on dialogue preparing girls who are going to be mothers in the future to be the strong block the community can be based on.
We also seek to build and keep outstanding relationships with other schools in and outside Jordan through exchanging views, visits, experiences and knowledge.
Students from outside Jordan are also offered the chance to learn more about Jordan and its outstanding heritage through the regular visits to JIS.
We also organize activities, such as music, swimming, gymnastics, karate, drama, computer skills, horse riding and ballet dancing.
All of these could help in building students up with the necessary characteristics of patience which reflect the noble message of our vision.
