What are users saying about Jelly Bean 4.2 Keyboard

N70%
by N####:

This keyboard is so much better than the swype keyboard I was using. The swype keyboard is just slow and annoying. I would use the Samsung keypad, but that is really annoying too because I hate the way it does autocorrect. This keyboard is fast, it has the swype function and it has great autocorrect! I love this keyboard and I hope everyone who has a problem with their keyboard gives it a try.

N70%
by N####:

Anyone calling this the best must not have tried half the other keyboards available. The prediction is not that good, no gesture to erase an entire word, hard to read secondary key symbols. Touchpal, a.I.type. and swift key easily top this, just saying

T70%
by T####:

Gesture typing does not function AT ALL like 4.2. The actual 4.2 keyboard predicts both the current words AND the word after, making input exponentially faster. This does nothing of the sort.

K70%
by K####:

Hi there! I've installed this on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Everything works great except for next word suggestion/prediction. No suggestions showing up at all at the top bar. Just blanks. Any ideas? Would give it 5 stars otherwise, for sure. In any event, thanks so much for making this keyboard available here.

M70%
by M####:

Pretty good. But it doesn't always get your words correct. But way better thany stock keyboard; I love this app! One thing to change though is how to get to the word list that you have made or saved, because you might of saved a wrong word in the past.

K70%
by K####:

Hooray! Am able to delete the last entered word in just one key press if you make a mistake after a swish. That function was broken in the Android 5.0 default keyboard on Xperia so I'm glad to find this Android 4.2 keyboard. This keyboard doesn't require internet permissions either which is good for those who wear tin foil hats.

D70%
by D####:

The ability to use Android 4.2's keyboard in 4.1 is great. The gesture typing is a great addition. It's a shame you can't disable the default Android keyboard while using this (as you get a permanent notification any time you're typing to allow you to access the keyboard options in 4.1), but that's not the app's fault.

I seldom if ever write reviews but this app deserves some glory. I have the s4, went from the iPhone, and LOVE the s4. Only problem was I couldn't get the phone to prompt auto correct with the space bar (which you think would be in the settings - I can assure you, its not). I just downloaded this app and it does EXACTLY what I need it to do so now I can text just as quickly as I did on the iPhone which now makes this the perfect phone. DOWNLOAD THIS APP AND MAKE YOUR LIFE AND PHONE EASIER!

With the new update to 4.1"jellybean", I found that the keyboard not only seemed a little bit laggy, but also lost its auto correct. Now with this keyboard I dont feel a millisecond of lag and every word I type is flawless. This is a prime example of something done right. Now my S3 is perfect.

O70%
by O####:

I absolutely love the way this keyboard works. The prediction is perfect and it's so simple to use. It is so much better than the s3 keyboard HOWEVER I really dislike that it doesn't have all the symbols that the original keyboard has, such as hearts and stars. And as a girly girl that's a pretty big deal to me. Would be perfect if if I could insert hearts like in s3 keyboard. Very good app though.

So I've this issue. I can use gesture typing perfectly but when I want to type just one word or back key the keyboard closes and takes a while to going put again. Please fix it I love gesture typing...

K70%
by K####:

This is just what I needed. Bought a used phone and the OEM Swype (TM) would not work after a couple days. It notified me that certain permissions were missing. This solved it!

K70%
by K####:

Love the gesture input. But please make the add word to dictionary thing a bit less tedious. Right now two clicks are needed. One click should work. Please fix!

I hate the HTC Sense keyboard with a passion, especially the Sense 5 board... Since the One is still quite new, I haven't seen any flashable zips for this, so this app truly is a life and sanity saver.. Thanks. (:

K70%
by K####:

If I'm typing so fast in a chat like Whatsapp, the keyboard continuously repeats the last word written at the message already sent and posts it in typing bar! This happens all the times I type fast and it is annoying. I love using Jilly Bean keyboard and hope to see this problem solved.

K70%
by K####:

Looks nice, had the stock one installed beforehand but was having dictionary issues. Only thing I would say is that the spacing between the rows on the keyboard is screwed up on my One S and there are large gaps than should exist.

P70%
by P####:

Thanks for this keyboard. Not the authors fault but........When I swipe " three", it comes out as "the". No number row. No arrow keys. No flow through space. Silly floating word. Only three suggestions at a time with no highlighting of selected word. More accurate gesturing than many keyboards though.

F70%
by F####:

I love everything about this keyboard. I've memorized the layout but like another commenter said, the secondary characters are hard to see cause they're tiny and dark like the keys. Thanks dev!

K70%
by K####:

If Swype and Swiftkey had a baby, this would be the result. Swype's failings are in poor word prediction and slow performance. Swiftkey makes up for the word prediction, but you lose the rapid input of Swype. With all of the features married together, it's almost perfect. It'll just take a while for me to get used to a different keyboard layout.

K70%
by K####:

I downloaded it and i can't open it. My only option is to uninstall? It won't even come up as a keyboard option on my phone. Stupid.

K70%
by K####:

Small keys and wide spacing between rows. Did this change happen with the gesture update? Terrible. I know it was fine before. I had to switch to the other jellybean keyboard port.... I couldn't see a way to change this layout...

I actually had the Nexus 4 for a month but the service was terrible. I went back to my verizon phone and got this keyboard and the 4.2 clock. This keyboard does talk to text even with no data signal! Love them!

K70%
by K####:

Tends to shut down or freeze spontaneously while typing. Sort of frustraring while typing and negates its utility. Works well though. Please fix the issue

I switched from the iPhone to the Samsung Galaxy S3. I missed Swype when I got the iPhone, and missed the responsiveness of the iPhone's keyboard when i got my Galaxy. This keyboard combines the best of everything. I have no complaints. Could be the perfect keyboard.

C70%
by C####:

When I type too fast, it starts off with the last word from the last message....Annoying. Also, misses simple corrections sometimes... Again, annoying. But it does do justice most of the time, and I like it. It just needs work. And more themes, at least.

R70%
by R####:

It's really good, and does not eat so much RAM what is great and it is fast. Please just add size options so I can make it smaller and I will give you 5 stars.

Z70%
by Z####:

Though this keyboard is notably better than the stock LG keyboard on my Optimus L9, the small keys and random glitches are a definite deal breaker; especially when compared to Swype, the originator of it all. Honestly, though, if the keys were adjustable, meaning I could enlarge them somehow,I would probably support and use this keyboard more; but until that is a reality, I'm sticking to Swype Beta. Great work on this keyboard, nonetheless, team.

I would love to see an improvement in the word prediction. Although I have set it on aggressive, apparently it wasn't good enough for me. Hopefully there will be an update for this. Apart from that, pretty good app. Cheers

Your application is almost near to perfect! Hey! I love your application! Nice and clean! Just a little lagging i see. The voice input key doesnt show up in my key board neither on my main keyboard nor on numeric keyboard. Please fix. U guys deserve a 5-star. Desperate to rate it as 5-star. Please fix voice input key button issue. Thanks.

You need this keyboard for completing a stock jelly Bean 4.2 experience on your phone. It's fast, incredibly responsive, swipe works beautifully, and word prediction is much better than the Samsung keyboard.

Coming from a Galaxy Nexus to a Galaxy Note 2 I now have the same evenly spaced out 4.2 keyboard with beautiful gesture typing on a bigger screen which is now perfect for my big hands, has amazing prediction when set to very aggressive AND it uses the Samsung Keyboard sounds instead of the old horrid nexus sounds when typing. Absolutely perfect. Thank you.

Z70%
by Z####:

This is the most perfect keyboard. I find it far superior to Swype because it's faster, smoother and just more fun to use. Also, it doesn't resize itself constantly like Swype does. The button sizes are perfect and everything is clear and easy to see. I'm going to put it on my mom's phone for this reason and also because Google voice typing is effortless and extremely accurate for those times when you are lazy or distracted. Thanks! (Typed with jb keyboard.)

I recently updated my Samsung G2 Skyrocket to 4.1.1 and the stock keyboard lost auto-correction. I looked online and saw this was a common problem across the Galaxy line. I worked my way through about a half-dozen keyboards on Play that either did not auto-correct properly and/or included (to me) annoying and extraneous additional features. This keyboard works great, resembling my old ICS keyboard in layout but with additional (albeit a little hard to read) secondary characters for all keys. Auto-correction works great and even has the optional level of aggressiveness. No ads or anything else to detract from the fantastic almost-stock experience. If you want a clean, basic keyboard without all the extra hoopla of the more popular versions (and especially if you've upgraded and lost auto-correct) I cannot recommend this keyboard more.

Now let me get this strait, this is a great keyboard (I am using it to type this). It has the stock Android holo theme and looks identical to stock. I have had a great experience using this but it could be a little bit better. The globe icon on the keyboard messes me up quite frequently and the performance is a little slow. The file size is kinda big for a keyboard but it shouldn't bother you. Auto correct works OK but it could be better. Overall this is a great keyboard and you should definitely try it!

Z70%
by Z####:

Is it possible to make the buttons bigger for this keyboard? It would be nice to have the ability to customize the height and width of the keys for more accurate typing. The swyping feature is even better than on the keyboard pre installed on my phone. I would highly recommend this app.

So even though it is kinda laggy and a bit annoying, it is still mii preferred keyboard and every time I change it and try a new one I always come back to this one. So 4 stars it is! Just fix the lagging and that annoying stutter it has ever so often.

Word prediction and punctuation is superb. I can type as fast and badly as I like and this keyboard corrects everything for me. Should be the stock Android keyboard.
