Simple Phone Locator

If you are looking for a simple app to help you locate your lost phone, look no further. Simple Phone Locator activates an audible alarm on your phone whenever a configurable trigger text message is received. Simply send the trigger text message from any other device to your phone number and the alarm will sound. This app works better calling your phone because it will always generate an alarm at maximum volume for as much time as is needed to locate the misplaced phone.

The trigger text message is any sequence of characters you prefer, up to 20 characters in length.

The alarm will continue to sound until it is either dismissed via the screen on the phone or a configurable timeout occurs. The default timeout is 5 minutes, giving ample time in most cases to locate the missing phone. The timeout can be from 1 to 10 minutes in length.

The app will generate an audible alarm even if the sound is disabled on the phone, and when the alarm stops the phone's sound settings will be restored to their previous state.
