this is very helpful for my red-green colour blindness. When I navigate away from the app, it locks up, and can be very hard to close without rebooting the phone. I have a Nexus 5 running 4.4.4. It would be great if the dev can fix this. Thanks.

Everything is grey or blue. Static mode doesn't work, affected my droid, now app control doesn't work properly.

V70%
by V####:

only works for plain colors. Fails on textures and in low light (grainy images)

Thank you! I am colorblind and can use this to find wiring colors and resistor color codings. Very useful for colorblind people. Works great on Droid.

The latest update works great on my droid. I am colorblind, and this app is a great solution for day-to-day color questions

Great idea, great app, and only one of its kind on Android -- web design, etc

K70%
by K####:

I'm not color blind but as a graphic designer I find the RGB and CMYK values helpful as long as the lighting is right.

Says everything is orange

K70%
by K####:

Not bad. Fun to use. I like the inclusion of rgb values. Helpful as I am colour blind

M70%

Does what it says, computer LEDs are tricky and you need to use the edge of the light as others have stated. Galaxy S

K70%
by K####:

This is somewhat helpful but I can't really truat it since even as a color challenged individual I can tell that it is inaccurate and leans strongly towards red shift on my device in my home This would be fine if there was a white balance tool.

Locked up my moment so completely that I had to remove the battery to reboot. Junk.

Y70%
by Y####:

On nexus one too many colours come out red including green. This is in daylight so no artificial light.

O70%
by O####:

Works great but lighting dependent. How about version for us guys to ID colors like taupe, mauve? (We know red, green)

O70%

Great app for my colorblind wife. More accurate than the device she now uses to identify colors.

People who are not color blind may never know the sweetness/usefulness of this app.

K70%

Nice. Has a little trouble with equipment LEDs, but if you aim at the edge of the light it works.

L70%

I find this app very helpful.. red green color blind here. One suggestion is it would be great to be able to turn the camera light on.

K70%
by K####:

Gets confused if the lighting isnt perfect and calls everything orange. The WB correction needs to be more simplified.

This app is a lifesaver for those of us who are colorblind. I was going to work on writing such an app myself, but took a quick look on the Android Market and found this once. It works well. Although my Atrix camera colors are a bit off (no fault of What Color?), What Color gets me over the red/green hump. The only way I can think of to improve the app is to develop color calibration profiles for the more popular devices. One way I thought of doing this was taking photos of a reference test image.

Just had someone with normal color vision check it out and l think it will be very useful to me at work.

Entertaining but is just as confused about colors as I am. Maybe it will do better in brighter light.

I have several colorblind people in my family, and for some reason they love to argue with me about what color things are. Now I can finally win!
