About Randomly RemindMe

Do you have trouble drinking enough water during the day? Maybe you want a reminder to step away from the computer for a bit. How about a reminder to exercise? Trying to make a habit? Or break one? Get a random motivational quote? This app will let you set any number of custom reminders that will remind you for that and a whole lot more.

Important: Many devices have aggressive power management features enabled by default. You must whitelist Randomly RemindMe for it to work properly. If not you will likely not get reminders.

Reminders can be extensively customized in a large variety of options. Make sure you show advanced options to see them all.

If you don't want random then you can still set specific times or interval timing. This lets you keep all your reminders in one place.

Random reminders don't have to be per day. Now you can randomly get reminded on a weekly or monthly scale.

Add locations to only get reminded when you are at work, home, when leaving work, or anywhere else you want.

Backup and restore your reminders in app or even send your favorite reminder to a friend.

Track how well you follow your reminders with click vs. dismiss notification tracking. Check the reminder's summary page for all the statistics. Statistics are tracked on a per day basis along with lifetime tracking. Export the data as a .csv for analysis in a spreadsheet application.

Doesn't work and no idea why. Did everything it asked but it never reminds me, not sure if im doing anything wrong. 5 stars if anyone or dev team can help me.

Good... But can be better. One problem I have is that I can't set a reminder for a specific time/date any further out then the next day. Lets say I want to set a reminder to go off say... three days from now. It won't. After I finish making the reminder & hit back to save changes, it doesn't even show the date/time it SHOULD be set to go off, like the reminders set for the next day do. So I waited (thinking it a glitch, and would go off anyway). But it didn't. Even some of the reminders that work would all of a sudden do the 'no date thing'. Please fix!

It was good at first. I got all the reminders that I set on the app but after a while I stopped getting them and it's been a few weeks that I haven't been getting them

Awesome! I love how my messages to myself pop up and remind me to move. I wanted something easy, random and fun to get me out of my chair throughout the day. This does it. A bit tough to figure out, but once I found where to put messages and set it up, it's been wonderful. Exactly what I needed!

Seems to work, but the light theme is unreadable on my phone, and I'd have to PAY for a dark theme just to test. So one star.

It worked well on my LG G2. Unfortunately, on my new Huawei P9 plus it doesn't pop any reminder. Correction: Huawei's app manager was closing the app. After setting correct permissions app runs great.

Was OK at first, then started skipping, then stopped working altogether

I have been waiting for this app to go off all day, and it never did. This app............. Sucks.

The limit on number of reminders is moronic. USELESS.

Would be great if you could still have a sound notification on vibrate

The only thing that would make it better would be if the pictures that you set would pop up with the reminder (although maybe I just haven't figured out how to do that yet)

This is a good little app to remind you to do things that you need to do without having them regularly scheduled. For example, if you want to remember to connect with someone on a regular basis, but you don't want a reminder to tell you to do it "every Thursday at 9:00 AM" , you can set this to remind you at a random time inside of certain parameters.

D70%

Like what other users have reflected, it is awesome when it worked. Most of the time it fail to notify at all. Is there some setting that we should tweak on our phone or is it the app's problem? It's a great idea, would love it if it can work as advertised.

D70%

Awesome app to be reminded to do things. Extremely flexible configuration. My favorite feature is that the pop-up has a check mark to acknowledge you did the item. Really helps to make sure you did it, vs just an alarm going off. No stability problems, not sure what other reviews are seeing.

I love the idea of this app. I'm currently using it for motivation around mindfulness, relationships (reminding me to contact people) and nutrition. It was a little complicated to set up and I had to change a phone setting to make it work.

M70%
by M####:

1 little gotcha is I changed default reminder to trigger at a frequency of 2 / month with criteria: repeat every 1 months set. Then I added lots of reminders incl many set to trigger daily & none of those would show until I worked out the repeat every x days/week/month criteria setting is buried in advanced settings for each individual reminder. I Changed all to daily & it fixed it. Also it confused me that notes don't show in alerts.

This app has literally changed my life. The ability to perpetually, pseudo randomly remind myself to do things has allowed me to do everything from correct my posture to eating more healthily and reducing the amount of time I waste on the Internet. I've tried many systems but this one works. The futures are so customisable through the advanced features panel, and you can backup your data. Great app, thanks so much.

Love this app - it was exactly what I was looking for. However, it locks my entire phone up If I try to change the frequency of an existing reminder. I can change it when setting up a new reminder, but when I try to edit it later the whole phone freezes and I have to restart the phone. Any way to fix this?

M70%
by M####:

Still do not understand how to use it. Click, slide, dismiss, x button, OK button - no idea what are these doing. Last drop for my patience is fired reminder at 6:00 am at Sunday, when my device turns on. No reminders for this time 100%. I was like wtf?

W70%
by W####:

...which apparently it doesn't always. Sometimes it just won't refresh, and displays the next reminder time as a time that's passed at already. (Edit) okay, so apparently if I just have the app running, it doesn't even work the next day. I have to actually turn today's reminder on and off for it to work. I can hardly imagine how annoying it is for those that have many reminders...

I came to the store looking for this functionality and was happy to see someone developed it. Works well with a 1-minute silence padded alert sound -- I get one chime and then it shuts up and reminds me again in random(x) minutes. Thanks!

Fantastically complicated (compared to other apps). Maintains a clean interface even though it has an abundance of features. I think one area for improvement could be: when setting a specific reminder, you could display the actual calendar dates that it will take place in the test. E.g. I set a reminder to occur on the last Sunday of every other month, so I'd like to make sure that it will occur on those dates and that I didn't screw something up when I run the test.

After working perfectly fine for a few months, it's suddenly stopped working. The app won't load, notifications have stopped, and my phone keeps popping up a message saying that it's slowing down my system and should be uninstalled. On a Galaxy S5 Neo.

M70%
by M####:

Nice idea, highly customisable. Feature requests: Option to disable showing upcoming times for random triggers, so the surprise isn't spoiled. Weirdly the list import has a delimiter of ||||, would be much more compatible with an option to use a comma or newline instead - and also if it overwrote the list instead of appending.

It was good at first. I got all the reminders that I set on the app but after a while I stopped getting them and it's been a few weeks that I haven't been getting them

Set to a vibrate pattern. Vibrated on 1st reminder but no subsequent ones so missed reminders. Useless if you need quiet reminders.

M70%

I don't give out 5 stars likely. But this is amazing. I set it to do 20 pushups each time 10 times a day, I love it. Good job on this one

I needed an app that would randomly remind me of things I need to work on in my life-be more patient, etc. A calendar reminder or alarm would be easy to ignore because they're at set times. Having reminders pop up at random times helps to keep me on track. Well done!

M70%
by M####:

I've been using this regularly for a few months and I was wondering if there is a way for the notification to pop up in the middle of the screen? Instead of just showing the single line at the top of the screen?

M70%

The only thing that would make it better would be if the pictures that you set would pop up with the reminder (although maybe I just haven't figured out how to do that yet)
