Works exactly as expected! The open-source nature of the app is very nice to see. Had troubles at first, but the developer was responsive and quick to merge a fix I submitted into his main branch. Highly recommended!

Does exactly what it says. I bought a USB A to C cable a while back and it made my phone run HOT. Then I read Benson Leung's reviews, pitched the old cable and bought ones he likes in his review. I still have one adapter that I'd never used and it just tested 'Cable is safe to use' I do not have any of the older cables that made my phone run HOT so I don't have a 'negative' to test.

I have it installed on my G5. I set my G5 to charge only over USB. Activated the app and plugged the USB-C cord into a USB-3 port on my PC. It tells me to plug into a computer not AC. Uh huh... yup... uninstalling. To buggy to use or take up space on my phone.

Using Nexus 5X Stock, connected Anker USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable (3.3ft / 1m) initally to USB 3.0 Thinkpad hub, then multiple usb 3.0 ports on hp laptop, while turned on. Only shows a symbol for an eye. When i unplug the type-c connector from the device it states : Please connect to a computer. However reattaching the device does not remove the message. The app has to be restarted to go back to just the eye. Phone restarted and app reinstalled. No change. Was in charge state.

Tells me to plug my phone into a computer WHILE it's plugged into my PC. All I see is an eye, left it plugged in for 20 minutes. Am I doing something wrong?

Not working for me either! Nexus 5X. Have tried two different devices in three different PCs. Phone says it's charging. Shows the eye but no result. How long should it take to show the result?

Had it connected to CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 2, Das Keyboards and directly to MacBook Pro - every time it said "Connect to computer, not wall outlet" :(

Like many other reviewers, my Nexus 5X is plugged into a USB port on my PC and is charging. All the app tells me is to plug into a computer, not an AC adapter. I already have plugged into a computer! Tried different USB ports, same result.

In charging mode connected to USB 3.0 port. Never got past the eye to results.
