iPulse is an application that let you pulse the data connection (and WiFi in pro version) depending on several configurable events.
Extremely useful to awake services that needs internet connection (e.g. push mail) without necessity to keep it always on, thus reducing greatly the battery usage.
iPulse can ignore the connection status, operate in manual mode for connection always on, connection always off (as a standard connection on/off manager) or in a totally automatic mode, driven by events. The different operating modes can be switched using widgets and/or commands in the notification area (Android >= 4.1).
The configurable events that can activate the data connection (and WiFi in pro version) are:
• Timer: frequency, duration, and daily range
• Screen on and unlocked, with optional delayed timeout
• Battery charge (AC or USB)
The configurable events that can deactivate the data connection (and WiFi in pro version) are:
• Expire of scheduled timer
• Screen off with optional delayed timeout (and list of foreground apps in pro version)
• Low battery signal (ignored when battery is in charge)
iPulse works on compatible Android device, from version 2.3 (Gingerbread) up to 4.4 (KitKat) doesn't requires device ROOT. Since version 5.0 (Lollipop) device must have ROOT. It is available in English and Italian.
Notes:
• Since dual SIM support is not standard in Android, it could be that iPulse won't work properly on dual SIM devices
• More info about the programmability are present into the online instructions available inside the program
• The first time you install it don’t forget to run the app and accept the EULA to properly configure and enable it
• It is available a "Pro" version capable to manage the WiFi connection and the list of apps that will maintain the connection active when the screen is off. If you find iPulse useful or you would like to support the developers, please consider to buy the "Pro" version!

[My reply to devolpers first reply] Next time don't bury it so deep. Who has time to read every word in the description of every google play app they install? And who said anything about being cheated, the app was free. Controlling wifi is a big part of your app and many people want that capablility and implying it was a part of your app in the beginning of the description only to say the opposite many paragraphs later to me is borderline deception..[My reply to developers second rewritten reply]Essentially the rating is for wasting the time I spent learning how to use your app. Which was a direct result of your initial and highly misleading description which you have since modified to what it should have read all along.[My latest reply] Well I offerred to give you 3 stars and in return you just continue the harassment. Yes, it's a democracy and you're free to learn as well, hope you've learned something from this.

This app helped me in saving my battery life. I wasn't able to end the day without charging it at the midday! All the configurable options make it perfectly adjustable for almost every usage. Well, it worth to recommend its usage.

Now I sync my mail every 30 minutes and my battery life is quite improved. Must have tool, small footprint but really smart. For me 5 stars !

It makes it quite clear that for Wi-Fi control then you need the Pro version. A very modest 86p. This version does exactly as claimed, controlling the Data and saving battery in the process. But for battery savvy folk then spend the 86p and get twice the battery life. This App works far better than other Battery Savers and needs to be advertised more. Many thanks to the developers.
