No-frills CPU Control

I previously gave this 5 stars because it worked great when I was rooted with KingRoot. It now gets a 1 because it doesn't work with SuperSU. It will start with a screen saying the phone is not rooted, and the only option is to exit the program. Even when SuperSU is set to default grant permission instead of prompt, No-frills CPU Control still says there's no root access.

I only trust this as my "overclocker" since its 100% stable, and has the nice security feature for unclean shutdowns! The only MINOR flaw is when you apply the values, it doesn't show as so in the app until you exit it and reenter it. Other than that, I must still give a full 5 stars!

Not working anymore for MM with super su. Redmi note 3 to be direct. Working fine in nougat custom rom and lolipop miui official for redmi 2 prime. Problem "your phone is not rooted" but it is. Every other app seems to be working fine. Fix is needed I'll try to grant mannual root access.

4 star for app.. set the max clock frequency to 1.04Ghz equal 1040Mhz all 4 cores. standard clock 1.3Ghz. and less the battery power consumption. I'm professional about computer bios. so i know how it work. not recommended for android gamers that, play high graphic load. recommended for battery saver user.

This app helped tame the beast. My phone has 3 cores and battery was going faster than I could say "Bazinga" so I used Setcpu but that still didn't work so I found this app. It has helped me save power when ever possible and it's free. Thank you.

I'm running a rooted LG G2 here and this app has been very useful. Being able to clock the CPU down allows me to save battery and have less overheating issues! I only clock them back up when I need them the most.

Like others, this does not work with SuperSU. I am using a rooted Samsung S5 on 6.0.1 and when you launch all you get is a prompt to exit. It states you are not rooted and kicks you out so might be a ploy to get you to use KingRoot. The ultimate backdoor to your system haha...

Used on Nexus 5 , snap speeds on governor performance mode but drains battery. On power saver videos hang while played on external players. I/O option is d best kept on cfq mode for good battery life. Wished there was an option to shutdown 1 or 2 of the four cores but it wld put d OS unstable am i right guys?

Why can't I choose more then it already is? I can only choose 800mhz which makes it no faster. Guess its good when you wanna save the battery. EDIT: .my phone seems to be going faster. Updated star to 5. Uninstalled this for the classic version since my LG Optimus L3 E400 has low internal storage.

I've been using it a while and it is really good, it does the job. But now with Android Lollipop (v5) is not setting the minimum freq properly. When I open the app it displays 1.296MHz as minimum even though I set it up to 652MHz. I change the settings to prevent other apps (and system) to change the frequency with no result.

I use xiaomi red mi 1s and as users know the device gets heated while playing. And the Internet claims the red mi to be over clocked so if u want your phone to run super smooth then get root access and install this app and set min frequency to 330mhz and high to 1.306ghz.and I promise you guys your red mi will run smoothly and save lot of juice.

I have a $50 tablet that I recently rooted. It was incredibly slow, but this app made it so much faster. The ability to adjust frequencies is an absolute Godsend. My tablet is not faster than the major manufacturing tablets. It is valued at only $50. However, the tablet is not as frustrating anymore. Also, the deep sleep option has saved so much battery for my smartphones and tablet. This app is simple, but very powerful.

Works perfectly on my HTC One V running myOne 9.5+ Sense 4.1A w/ sick kernel FOTA, and SuperSU pro. I have it running Lionheart governor clocked just above stock to eliminate any lag. No problems to report. Great CPU controller! Just what my baby needed! Thanks!

It says no root even though i have root and am running various apps that require root including various xposed modules. I tried with cpu tuner and it was able to get root permission and worked as expected. I even uninstalled cpu tuner in case it was interfering, rebooted my phone and your app was still not working.

its bugged it said u have to be rooted close and I am rooted it didnt ask for permission from SuperSU and already said u need a rooted phone with an exit button which I am obliged to press.. if I need a root program other than SuperSU for it in order to work plz someone tell me then I'll give 5 stars if it works

instantly changes the frequencies of the processor however after some time, values revert to the default ones. idk if it is google android since i already checked the prevent other apps box. anyway, it is a good app. i hope this gets fixed.

But it doesnt work. I have a rooted epic 4g touch 2 running jellybean, 4.1.2, I set it to 500mhz max, it lags the system a bit which makes me think its working, but when I go into no frills and check the stats it tells me that its been hitting 1.2ghz

On snapdragon 810 only show/control the max clock of the slower quad core of 1.5ghz, no control of the max 2ghz of the faster quad core. On mtk6795t. Doesn't totally block out top clock speed but manages to keep majority CPU time on set max clock.

This app really is no frills, but all thrills. I have an Asus tf201, and if you own one, you know they get terribly slow. So after installing CM11 and running this app with a freq. of 1 GHz to 1.4 GHz, this thing is a brand new tablet. 5 stars for you guys!

Ridiculously effective and simple. As I use a tablet, the battery is always low, it used to take 10hrs to max it turned off, now I can max it in mere 2hrs with WiFi on and HD videos only by underclocking it to 252-500mhz. Extremely recommended.

It really works and cools my galaxy s2 running lollipop. Set to 800mhz, still quite snappy. It just doesn't save and set the CPU speed at boot and I have to hit apply everytime I restart my phone.

developer of this app ..u can add ..profile system which can be tab (modifiable by user) ..just single tab and cpu freq. is arrested no more arresting min and max mode user(again and again single tab is all it needs) will make one time setting and on the go cup can be tuned what u say ....

I'm running a rooted LG G2 here and this app has been very useful. Being able to clock the CPU down allows me to save battery and have less overheating issues! I only clock them back up when I need them the most.

My phone's SOC is snapdragon 616 with 8 cores.After changing the frequency the first 4 cores are running in that speed,but the other 4 doesn't seem to be affected at all.I observed it through CPU Z.Please do something about it.

Req to the dev - can you please provide with a popup when'apply settings on boot' is checked and the set governer is not the robust one? This would help a lot with slow restarts and crashes on boot. Thanks a lot :)

After the latest update, it takes me 4-5 tries to get this to underclock or overclock. Also after the last update it doesn't apply desired settings at boot even when I checked the "Apply on boot" box. Please fix.

Sometimes the Max Freq. reverts to 998 Mhz for some reason even though I've set it to 1.19 Ghz. But it turns to be on my phone's part so I give it a pass.

My Nuqleo Fusion 2 phone couldn't run 1 of my fav games, Devil Maker Tokyo, out of the box. But with this app I was finally able too. Thank you for this! ^^

Was good for a while. Now it's not working. I'm running 2.3 quad core on the note 3. When I over clock, it states that I'm only running at 1.4ghz and it shows improper values when I set the frequency. I have no overrides or anything. It's just flat out not working properly for me

My phone is rooted yet the app doesn't recognize it for some reason.. Other apps work fine. Device: Oneplus One

For some reason, whenever i used other apps to set my cpu speed ... It would always get changed a few seconds later. This app has an option that will prevent any app from changing your cpu speed. For this reason, this app is better than the rest!

After doing some research, I found out that my CPU core speed slows when idle. I gave this app a shot and wow. It performed like brand new. Great app! All cores at 1.5 GHz minimum and maximum frequency with deadline as i/o operator.

App does what is suppose to do. it does not required to access your phone calls or your account or anything like that.

Useful if u want to conserve power or prevent overheating by underclocking your processor. It don't let u over clock though.
