Cannara e l’antica Urvinum Hortense
La piccola cittadina di Cannara si adagia sulla riva sinistra del fiume Topino, nel cuore della Valle Umbra, tra il monte Subasio e le colline fiancheggianti i Monti Martani.
Cannara vanta origini antiche: le prime notizie indicano la sua probabile fondazione intorno al I secolo a.C. con l'accampamento romano "Castrum Canarii". Importanti resti archeologici associano le sue origini all’antico insediamento Urvinum Hortense, già esistente nel I secolo a.C.

Cannock and the ancient Urvinum Hortense
