“Sapori in viaggio: itinerari rurali nella storia e tradizione enogastronomica dei Peloritani‘ è un’iniziativa che nasce dal basso, ovvero da un’esigenza comune e diffusa a livello degli operatori di un settore, quale quello della promozione del turismo enogastronomico di qualità, che stenta a decollare non per le potenzialità dell’area, ma per la mancanza di progettualità cooperative e sistemiche. L’associazione GreenTour Sicilia, promotore del presente progetto, viene istituita proprio a questo fine, unire ed integrare il turismo e la tradizione produttiva rurale in maniera da creare un’offerta territoriale di qualità in grado di attirare flussi turistici e visitatori da tutto il mondo. Anche il nome GreenTour deriva da questa mission, rievocando e parafrasando il celebre Grand Tour ottocentesco, che portava centinaia di viaggiatori straniera sull’isola del sole, ed aggiungendogli un’accezione rurale (ma anche agricolo produttiva e naturalistica) dettata dal vocabolo “Green”. "Taste the road: rural routes in history and culinary tradition of Peloritans' is an initiative that comes from below, or by a common need and common at the level of operators in a sector, such as the promotion of wine tourism quality, not that hard to take off for the potential of the area, but for the lack of planning and co-systemic. The association GreenTour Sicily, the promoter of this project is set up just for this purpose, combine and integrate tourism and the rural tradition of production in order to create an offer spatial quality that can attract tourism and visitors from around the world . The name comes from GreenTour this mission, recalling and paraphrasing the famous nineteenth-century Grand Tour, which brought hundreds of foreign travelers on the island of the sun, and adding to it a meaning rural (but also agricultural production and nature) dictated by the word "Green" .
