Auto Brightness Manager very slowly rises and lowers the brightness, taking several minutes to do this. You set the upper and lower limits. It calculates your local sunset and sunrise time so you don’t need to keep adjusting the times throughout the year. Earlier versions had some problems, for me, when installed on my cellphone. I contacted the developer (who was very responsive and helpful) and reported these problems. Over the next couple of weeks every issue I discovered was addressed and resolved, resulting in 100% functionality, and no known bugs. I strongly recommend you try Auto Brightness Manager. It is the only brightness program that I have found that can be “set and forget”, as all the other apps that I tried required constant adjustments to cater for the changing sunrise and sunset times throughout the year. If you previously had installed Auto Brightness Manager, and found it didn’t work correctly, try again now, you should find the program now fully operational.
