e-Andhalas

E-Andhalas - from the Sardinian dialect "path" - is an application that, aiming to improving mobility, provides innovative tools for the exploration of the area using location-based services and an advanced augmented reality interface.

By identifying your location automatically, E-Andhalas will show you a map of all the Points of Interest (ports, airports, stations, etc ...) that are around you, depending on the searching range that you have set.

Furthermore, touching the POI you can get information such as name, address, etc....
In addition you can:
• search Points of Interests inserting part of or the full name of the POI
• Obtain a list, organized by category, of POIs that fall within the selected distance range
• Display POIs through the Augmented Reality interface, directly on the screen using the camera of your smartphone / tablet
• navigate the menu with the voice through a voice recognition system, that make the application accessible by visually impaired.

E-Andhalas is an application developed by the Province of Sassari in the scope of the project “3iPlus - Intermodal Interregional Infomobility", co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme Italy - France "Maritime" 2007-2013 .
