Offline Browser Pro for Android
Does what it needs too.
Thank you for adding a notification asking if its OK to download through data. I don't have data overage charges so I'm fine with updating a page. Does the app resume or restart a download that was interrupted? Also, when does a page update? One suggestion is to add the page size in megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB) under the date the page was downloaded.
When I dowloded something it said sorry try next time you did not dowlod you are ofline and I have WiFi
I used this app during a trip to Japan where I had no data. Very useful for downloading documents and guides to access locally!
Bought and still using this for months
After using it for a few months & compared it with other similar apps, I find it very useful & easy to use, which makes me bought/ upgrade it to the Pro version. The only downside is I can not open the archived file properly in my Windows laptop, all the links inside html file are dead, so all the websites downloaded using this app are confined within it, untransportable, therefore I give 4 out of 5 star. Good job for the developer, I'm waiting for new improvement.
Easy & fun to use. I use it often & recently purchased the pro version. Thanks devs. I regret nothing.
Been using it for a few days now and is absolutely perfect. Accurately downloads pages.
Thanks for the upgrade. Much better this time
Very cool
It takes forever to organize once you've gotten beyond 50+ pages. Also, the cache folder storage desperately needs date/time stamping (or at least list folder number in edit, so we know where to access specific files).
Very detailed options and a very nice app. But the buttom buttons on main page could use a little touch up. Do you think you could update the UI a little? Other than that little deal, great app better than all the other "offline browsers". Worth every penny
Works perfectly, and the developer responds to requests for help. If images fail to download, try increase the "max images per site" and "max links per site" and to disable the "clear old pages before download". I had to do this to download the LocusMap manual and then it worked perfectly.
For some reason every time I start recording a page it freezes
I have several folders BUT can't put the folders THEMSELVES in order of a-z
Installd pro no files in list from other app thought I lost everything found OLD VER still installed opend it all files there. Export file to PRO VER - PRO VER NOT FOUND. INTERESTING Atleast I still got the web pgs from old ver. I hav web pgs that I dont want updated and redwnlodng them in pro ver might ruin it. How to tell OLD VER I HAVE PRO VER. DONT KNOW VER. OTHER THAN THAT GREAT APP.
Bought the pro version but never worked. I can see the first Web page but when I click on a link an error comes up saying files not found in local storage. But I saw 150 MB downloaded in the top status bar. I have note 8 android 4.4.1.
Scheduler problem with Lollipop now fixed so it is back to being an excellent app. With a future update, I would like to be able to schedule different websites separately and according to days of the week. A scrollbar would be nice too.
Small app, big on options, quickest function!
I use Offline Browser Pro literally every day. The dev has even helped me a few times. If you need offline web pages, this is the program you need.
Great to get the upgrade and avoid seeing ads. I love this app, it works perfectly to save my portfolio website for interviews. I had a minor problem downloading a squarespace site, but Niko fixed it right away!
PRO browser purchased but it never worked and no help waste of money
I use it for doing research offline, it's great!
I couldn't download a website using https protocol
Now I can surely save in external SD card on Lolipop. Thanks dev!! :)
This app is great I can download all my pages I want to read for on the go and can save some data. My biggest complaint is the sorting they need to fix how you can sort your downloaded pages. It you could sort by date then go back to custom that would be great, until then 3 stars. But of you can overcome this then it's for you and I would recommend it.
Thanks for the help.
Correctly downloads web pages. Stable. No monthly or yearly subscription fee.
Fast download. I read a lot of online books from website. This is by far the best offline reader. I when from lite to paid in no time. But it does crash every now and then with lollipop tho. Hope they will fix it. Oh by the way person from below. You can backup your web list to a file. On the main page click on setting (top right) then it on the bottom. Backup link.
This app is great I can download all my pages I want to read for on the go and can save some data. My only complaint is when you sort it goes away from the highlighted option and doesn't allow you to see where it is you want to put the link. Fix this and it a 5 star for sure other than that I would recommend this app to anyone it is great! And totally worth the money from what your going to save in data alone.
I like the software, and bought the Pro version. I tried to contact the developer for questions and features, and found his email address is not valid. :(
Usually when the free version is great, I don't buy the paid version. But this app is so amazing I really want to support the developer. Amazing!
It just works! I use this for downloading pages and images for backcountry hiking/climbing. I've never had any issues with saving the pages and retrieving them later offline. There are also loads of different options for saving (download images or not, download links (and to what level), etc.). Good job!
Please move storage to external sdcard. Root folder not work well
I am getting about a 60% success rate with downloading and viewing pages. Its hit and miss as I can save some pages on the same site which have the same layout. Not great for a paid app. Edit: I cleared the cache and stopped the cached process in settings and pages are displaying correctly again. Thanks to the devs for responding.
A great app and well maintained. It's also a superb browser for internal websites - in fact the only one that works well. I author and maintain and html based company database shared in Dropbox. This app along with Dropsync allows it to be used on tablets and phones. Excellent!
I am glad to see this kind of app in the play store, but the developer forgot to put a button or some kind of pointer that can take us back to the main interface from external browsing. Also, where are the archived pages put and how do I get there from the main interface. Hopefully the developer can bring us folders organization and integration. Make this utility more useful by making it easier for us to access the saved material.
Most browsers only let you see that one page but no other offline browser lets yu navigate and stuff its just as if you were online doing it ONLY...YOUR NOT! D:
This is probably the best of the offline browsers. It's taken nearly a year to get it working with the update just released for kitkat. If you're using that or older versions it'll work fine now but if you go to lollipop this year be ready for a disappointment. Only use the paid version so the developer can afford a lollipop device to work on☺. Thanks
