Enhanced WISETRIP for Android
WISETRIP system is the result of a collaborative research project co-financed by EU FP7 programme under Theme TPT.2007.4 "The connected traveller in the city, region and world of tomorrow", aiming to provide personalized multi-modal travel information sourced from connected variant journey planners. The project takes the reference of the existing independent systems for journey planning that become active sub-systems of a global journey planner system.
Currently WISETRIP system is into pilot operation, so that it can be tested and evaluated under real conditions. This pilot application contains information related to a limited number of routes within Greece, United Kingdom, Finland, Italy and China sourced from the following interconnected journey planners: a) ENOSIS - a Greek Journey Planner (www.enosis.gr), b) Traveline North East and Cumbria - a UK Journey Planner (www.travelinenortheast.info), c) BusBussola - an Italian and more specifically a Florence Urban Journey Planner (http://www.ataf.net/) and d) a Chinese Journey Planner covering the city area of HangZhou. Not all transportation modes or all transport companies are supported by the above journey planners at their sites. Consequently the identified routes may not in reality be the "best" real-world routes due to limitations in the available input databases. Users are urged to independently verify route information presented here.
Information about trips (companies, vehicles, departure and arrival times, and indications of ticket prices) is directly provided by interconnected journey planners, and therefore WISETRIP cannot provide any type of guarantee neither is responsible for the correctness, validity, thoroughness and accuracy of that information. WISETRIP guarantees the secure and accurate, without any distortion, diffusion of that information, under the form and content which is provided by the interconnected journey planner systems, with the prerequisite that there is none obstacle of technical or any other nature that inhibits the diffusion of information.
