L’Artes Café nasce da un progetto delle cooperative sociali Artes e CAPS; un locale accogliente e innovativo fondato sul concetto della legalità e del recupero sociale.

Il nostro motto è Festina Lente: “affrettati lentamente”, perché ci affrettiamo nel voler cambiare questa nostra realtà acclamando i valori della giustizia, legalità, uguaglianza, anche se questo richiederà un duro e lento lavoro.

Si tratta di una Bottega-Café della legalità e dei diritti realizzata con il sostegno della Regione Puglia, del Dipartimento Dipendenze Patologiche e del Comune di Bari, in collaborazione con importanti enti no profit quali Libera Terra, Emergency, Unicef, Made in Carcere, all’interno del progetto Finis Terrae della Fondazione con il Sud.

L’Artes Café è dunque un luogo dove deliziare il palato con piatti tipici della tradizione pugliese ma, soprattutto, un punto di incontro, una fucina di idee, arte e cultura; una goccia d’acqua nell’oceano dell’ingiustizia, un faro della legalità nella lotta alle mafie.

La cultura al servizio della denuncia, la cultura a illuminare il buio della paura e dell’omertà.

La cooperativa CAPS, portando un pezzo del progetto “Io non Dipendo”, si occuperà invece della formazione del personale impiegato, per sensibilizzare l’utenza (soprattutto i giovani tra i 20 e 40 anni) al saper bere con moderazione, a comprendere la differenza tra uso e abuso, a conoscere l’importanza delle gradazioni alcoliche e dei rischi connessi derivanti da un mix scorretto.
