Boating USA HD for Android
Makes what otherwise appears to be a great product...useless. Please fix
Worked great when I first purchased. Now it will not let me open app. Keeps telling me to uninstall and then reinstall.
Finally the feature I've been waiting for. Good work. Only issue is map rendering seems a bit slower with this update.
Would be much better without the advertisements. Also needs ability to store data on external SD. Otherwise, works well with few issues.
Overall a good app but I buy for apps to avoid being harassed by popups and advertisements. These popups take quite a bit of the small screen real estate I have on my handheld device. AND they keep coming back when I close them (frequently). I've waited to see if things changed but it looks like things are only worse. With OpenCPN out for Android, this is no longer my goto chart app. Sorry Navionics, you lost me as a customer. And I won't be recommending you anymore either.
Works amazing! wouldnt change it
I don't know where they get the contours for lakes but it's like they just make up there own. Minnesota lakes are so far off its unbelievable. Can't belive I spent 50$ for the HD
A lot more testiñg to be done
Works amazing! wouldnt change it
Tablet was returned to factory settings at repair station.. Navionics was the only app that I had to double pay to reinstall. No reply from customer service over 7 days to give me credit or allow me to install without another payment.. Not happy that I set out another $50 to reinstall. GOOD APP - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
What happened to the "go to" function for Android?? I works on my iPad but I can't seem to find it on android.
This app used to work really well but now you can't zoom in and it doesn't have much detail I think I paid $35 for I was happy at first but not anymore you get all these pop ups they're really annoying
I bought this app a few years ago, it was the best! Now it's junk. Popups, can't see bridges on maps, being forced to spend more money. I also recently purchased a raymarine e127, had to again, buy more maps because I was o able to transfer from my old c series chart plotter. Returned the unit, and went with a new Garmin, Garmin radar, and blue charts. I would love to continue this app, but it sucks now, when Im trying to plot a course, I get popups wanting me to buy a newer version. Why should I?
I have used this app for over three years. It is pretty true to its mark. Not as detailed but, thats ok when used as another source of info to back up another system, or to check for deviation from intended. I have an issue with the fact that I bought it and there were no expiration dates. Now, there is, I have to keep paying. That was not part of my purchase and you changed the rules. I believe I fall under a grandfather clause. If I purchase an add on, ok I agree, but not the terms of the original purchase date. Fair is fair. Long time users heed the changes. Navionics, how about some fair treatment for your original users.
Been using this app for years its more than worth its hefty cost even with all the new rediculous pricing. Of all the 237 apps I have on my phone, I would never say that about any paid app. this app is the exception to that rule. It has literally saved my lower unit 20+ times in unknown waters where things were not marked on the water itself but contours on the map combined with depth finder........ invaluable!!
This is a great resource for planning if you haven't been to the lake before, it is also a great backup
Just downloaded on 3/27/13. Android 4.2.2 on Nexus 10. All seems to work well. No sign of problems reported in past versions. The app needs a few features but is absolutely usable as a backup chart plotter. Maps look great on the N10!
Better resolution than the screen on my bridge. A must have for fishing and boating. Thanks Navionics!!Get it!!
Works well and has been a great help in reviewing both on and off the water to plan fishing locations.
You lose what you paid for if you buy a new tablet so be prepared to throw money away. Was able to download the main app again but add-ons are lost. I'm sure that's not in the terms but what can you do. Just shows what kind of developers they are. I've already read where you said you have to download the same app but lose your add-ons. If that's the case you shouldn't charge for the add-ons seeing as I've already paid $60 for your app. I Think it would be a good idea to pop up a notification telling people about the needing of an account with you, otherwise they lose their purchase history. I know there was nothing like this when i bought this. *** I did that. it asked me to sign in to my account. Could have swore I had one now that i think of it but it says i don't. I work in the Inland towboat industry and recommended this to everyone for a while. now if i recommend it I'll be sure to warn them of these issues. Very costly.
Since they have updated the android app to have sonarcharts, I am a much happier cusromer! Awesome!
Love the app and features. Works bug free 90% of the time and their technical support is pretty good. Maybe I didn't read the fine print, but I'm a little disappointed to see the maps expire. Overall a good app, but for $50 I expect it to perform flawlessly.
New nav module is great. So I have used this app for a couple of years and have found it very good at what it does. In one device it shows your position on a chart without the need for any other inputs (other than a power cord to charge the battery).
Can not get passed "I agree". Older versions worked fine.
Get it!!
The app crashes right after boot-up. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no improvement. Big disappointment, as I was looking forward to seeing the charts on this high rez screen. ... That was my initial review from last year. I have since given it another chance after receiving an android update to 4.2.2. It works perfectly now! No complaints at all, and it is very nice to see on the big 10" screen.
Just used this app for a trip around SW Florida and it is out of this world. First, I use it on a Xoom. As for our usage... we were regularly in areas at 3-4 ft at low tide. Having this app as our guide blew our paper charts away. It was always accurate, provided a great tracking tool, etc. Also, never experienced any tech difficulties.

Use this app all the time. Thank you
Got this new samsung tab 2/ FULL I NET VERSION, ANYTIME ANY WHERE, 1ST DOWNLOAD/ NAVIONICS USA HD. WOH, WOH, YA'll got to try this!!! Best I have seen or tryed! Nothing else touches this!!!!!!
I am impressed with this app. Beautiful and accurate. Love it!!! xyboard 10.1
Works great on device as does the non HD versions on my mp3 and cell phone ¤
Bought the app and download maps to cover from Knoxville, TN to St Petersburg, FL. Helping Captain friend bring boat from TN to FL when on the 2nd day the Raymarine C120 quit working, totally. Used my Navionics program on my tablet to navigate all the way to Pensacola where the Captain recieved a replacement GPS system. Program was excellent. The detail of the maps extraodinary with amazing accuracy with the depth markings. I would highly recommend the program as a back-up. It saved us from a lot of manual tracking with paper maps. THANKS!! Navionics for an excellent program.
Works fairly well with my Toshiba Thrive 3.1 Honey Comb OS. Just had an update for the app and some of the features have moved around and it took me a few minutes to figure out where all the tools that I was using before. Before the update, I was used my tablet on my boat and, if you let the tablet time-out and go to sleep mode it would loose it's GPS tracking and then you would have to restart the app. Also, the marine chart is always oriented north at the top of the tablet. Charts DO NOT ORIENT NORTH when navigating on the water but, it will track the direction you are going on the chart app. It will also do way points and give you GPS coordinates. The best feature by so far is the charts are in HD! I have used other chart apps and they are no where close when comes to chart detail!!! I will re-post my review after using the app with the new update.
Changing my rating to 4 stars. Software works beautifully after recent update. Using Visio VTAB1008 tablet.
Just purchased and downloaded to Acer a500 with ice cream sandwich os. Downloaded lake badin and Wylie in NC as I am hitting these lakes next week. The detail is outstanding and there are numerous features that all worked fine. For example, you can take photos which are geotagged to the location. You can trace routes and save them. To me, it is a solid app but you have to read the compatibility closely to ensure it will work on your tablet. Will provide an update rating after using on the lakes next week.
Just brought my boat from FL to NY and used app the whole trip. Loved it and worked great. Last weekend was playing with it at home and app would shut down. Worked with support but still glitches. Karen to your point. What I have found if tablet does not have Wi-Fi connection it works fine. If i connect the app shuts down. Would love to hear from others if a solution is found. Scott
Glitches back to either the play store or desktop- Cant even download a map.
Ok I've had this app for 4 years and as a professional captain I do like it and I've recommended it to many people who have paid for it however lately everytime I use any of the icons like tides or other icons, using the. "?" It locks up my phone and bad as in I've got to remove my battery, bad. This has been going on a while and I was hoping the updates would be correcting this . however it only seems to be getting worse. At this point I can no longer recommend it to my right now Very disappointed
