Boating Asia&Africa HD

For over $60 I can't see any significant improvement over the standard version. In fact just runs slower and some functions such as contour shading are even more limited. Still prompts for Navionics+ although text clearly states its included in the HD package. Will revert to previous version.

Great and reliable. All info.that I needed for safe navigation are there at my fingertips.

The own boat position and heading are not shown during steaming, also vector speed can't be adjusted to require time

What about AIS thru interenet or an NMEA Connection by wifi?..

I purchased the africa asia HD version and yesterday saw a warning only 330 days left...I paid a lot of money thinking the installation is permanent? Nowhere before you download does it say valid for one year only...if this is the case it is a ripoff and I will make an effort to spread the word? Please give feedback.

After using for about a week, the sea contour lines DISAPPEARED! The app asked me to re-download the map and said it was payable. Next the advance map options which I had to purchase TWICE disappeared and I was asked to purchase again! This is more than disappointing since I need to use it again this weekend.

I have been using the navionics apps on both my tablet and phone for years trouble free. Recently however it started giving problems. At this moment I cant download the charts for Hong Kong where I use this app most often. I bought Asia and Africa but I cant download Hong Kong asit says I canonly download the areas that I purchased?!? I need the app mainly for HK waters, why doesnt Navionics state that there are issues with HK before the app is purchased?

Great app we have been using it in Fiji and found it very accurate and reliable. Would be good if the Google earth images where available while off line, someway to down load before leaving internet coverage

When you try to update all charts doesn't work. Starts process but stops.

Full time cruising and use it for all my passage planning..

Can't fine tune or modify a route once it's entered. Only option is to delete the route and start over or delete the last waypoint one by one until you get back to where you need a change. Crude and unuseable. Now i have a message plastered all over the map. "Sorry sonar data is not yet availble for your area". Can't see important small details through this noise. Do these developers ever get on boat? Use OpenCPN rather than pay good money for this.

You want to charge again for this chart in 365 days but you haven't added any useful functionality in 2 years?! Forget it. Still only one route, no sensible way to edit a route, no way to follow a route, tracks stop recording if app is in the background, shared anchorages not shown unless zoomed in too much. No way to put marks or corrections on chart. OpenCPN for me. You guys are too greedy. And did I mention your charts are not accurate nor updated in Asia. And the HD version is the same as the normal version so you charged me twice.

Dear sir I tried many software like transas and xnav .... Etc. and i see your program is the best so i suggest many function to be added on your application to be number 1 in the world and my suggestions specially on (iPad, iPhone, smartphone and tablet): 1- Display AIS data on the navionics chart within 10 NM around me using VHF AIS RECEIVER by create and develop a small device connected directly to smartphone , iPad or tablet to get real time data without internet connection or without SHIP AIS as pilot plug. 2- Add VRM 1, VRM 2 and EBL functions. 3- Add limit zone function with alarm. 4- Add watch anchor function with alarm. 5- Add location alarm function .... Let user to store multi locations and get alarm when arrive it. 6- Add database function that let the user to store the arrival data and time for any location and make historical data. 7- Add Route editing for android versions. 8- Add navionics+ for android versions. 9- Plot suez canal buoys (I did it by my self and share it please review the accuracy).

the app is great working good.... but one problem is not showing the coordinations direct on map need to go for the + mark and see the coordinations if can plz fix it it is very important ....in every side it is a good app for me....

I just bought Lawrence HDS5 for my boat , comparing the charts with my tablet are far different. The details on my tablets are much better hence on larger screen. The GPS works fine while offline, Tough I have the HD version still we don't have the total benefits as on IOS, like fuel planning, auto tracking, ETAs sect , looking forward for more update

Hi There I recently purchased this app from my samsung phone then logged on to my Toshiba laptop gmail account to load the software on to there.. unfortunatly i'm not getting the option to do this.. Is it possible to load on to this device? Please advise asap as the software is really useless on my small cell phone! Regards Gary

Sept 22: Navionics has agreed that this app will not run on my device and asked me to install a different Android operating system than the one that came with the device. when I bought is new. Isn't it time to refund my purchase? Sept 16: This app crashes immediately after opening and displaying the splash screen. Totally unusable. The play store shows this app as compatible with my device. The play store shows this app as installed when it has been uninstalled. No option was shown for a refund. Please refund my purchase. Very helpfull apps

Hey, I think I paid you more than enough for the app to get the right to expect that you will never ever in your life show me another in-app advertisement again, especially repeatedly?

Pros: Everything works well Easy to use; many great features. Cons: Ads for chartplotter charts keep popping up. This shouldn't happend with paid app. I don't even own a chartplotter, and will never buy a chart for one. Help manual is wrong regarding adding Winds and Tides. You can go to edit winds and tides to add new ones. No mention of grib files, but they are available, simply by tapping the winds panel they are downloaded and overlaid on the chart.
