Downloaded this after Press for Android was abandoned. Mostly filled the void. Would like a way to more easily save to a Read it Later service. If even possible, it would also be nice to be able to save a password and username to a subscription site that has RSS without having to open the article in a browser. Solid product that I gladly purchased to remove ads, but would like to see more regular updates and improvements.

by Y####:

Loved it at first, but than it just stopped working properly. It's not refreshing (even though it shows that it is). I down want to download everything to my memory limited phone, I just want to see the latest, and I'll read what I find interesting. The only reason I'm keeping it on my phone is to see if new updates fix stuff.

I bought this as I wanted a good RSS reader after Press was abandoned and the devs have a good track record with their excellent Twitter app. Sadly the progress has really been lacking and it still misses the most basic of functions. There's not even a, widget. Disappointing and hard to recommend.

Y70%
by Y####:

The best RSS reader on Android since Press. After switching from an Exynos to a SnapDragon device the performance has much improved now. Only complaint that I have is that the UI for the star/share/previous/next at the bottom of the article page is distracting, either keep it permanently visible, hide it in a menu or keep it pegged to the bottom of the page (preferred solution).

Y70%
by Y####:

Lovely RSS reader that has a clean and modern feel. Would like to see a faster way to save to preferred read-it-later service á la Press. Still having difficulty adding a Feedly account.

Y70%
by Y####:

After trying a plethora of Feedly readers, Newsfold is my favorite. Cleaner than all the others and does almost everything I need. My only gripe would be the inability to default to Readability, or an easier shortcut to do so. Two clicks is just one too many

by Y####:

I really like where this RSS reader is going. It's the spiritual successor to Press, which has sadly been abandoned. It has a beautiful, clear design - the author clearly cares about look and feel. In terms of functionality it does what you'd expect of a straight RSS reader. It doesn't try to be fancy and offer annoying newspaper or magazine layouts like Feedly (which rarely work well) instead focussing on a simple, straightforward, but beautifully executed, experience. UPDATE: sadly, although it started strong, it's not been updated in ages and is still missing vital features such as subscription management. So I've had to mark it down a star. A real shame. I hope the author picks it up again soon.

Tried loads of different readers when press died. This is for sure the best one with great features and a sleek interface. There are a few bugs and it lacks some features so it needs an update soon to stay relevant.

Y70%
by Y####:

Drained a lot of power, like 1% per minute and didn't load anything even after marking show read. Tried to add a new source and didn't add it. Lowest score because even basic functions don't work

T70%
by T####:

A very well made app. I only have two requests: option to always show navigation buttons when reading an article, and better support for videos in articles (right now they are small and can't be made full screen). Keep up the good work!

Y70%
by Y####:

Using with feedly I found this a very useful app, easy to use and user friendly, minimalist UI allows me to do what I want it to: read the articles. Would prefer if there was an option to allow readability button to always display rather than having to go into a sub menu but this is a very minor issue. Works great when moving from Press.

V70%
by V####:

Paid premium to support Dev. Initial Sync times seem a lot better. However the font size is huge! I've seen people able read articles over my shoulder on the the morning train. Any way of adjusting. double tap article for readibility mode is useful.

Y70%
by Y####:

The story doesn't load on the first tap. Have to go back and try again several times.

E70%
by E####:

Please add volume key navigation for articles and support for TeslaUnread (notification badges). That would make it easy to switch from Press. Thanks!

G70%
by G####:

So far I am very satisfied with the app, I wish only for a slightly more responsive scrolling for the feeds and quicker synchronization, other than that it looks pretty good. Looking forward to the next update!

C70%
by C####:

I noticed that there must be an option to only download the unread articles because i have like 48k of finished articles. :/

J70%
by J####:

Having issues with refreshjng/syncing feeds from within the categories. No support. Not recommended.

Y70%
by Y####:

But definetly needs to improved, mostly into personalization options and synchronising, wich fails often.

Y70%
by Y####:

I wanna access to readability easily on swipe actions or other way.

Y70%
by Y####:

The best feed reader I've ever used. "Mark older as read" is THE best feature ever, for any reader feed reader!

Y70%
by Y####:

Simple and get the jobs done, it is missing a few feature though (like add new feeds to a collection)

L70%

Amazing app require bug fixes as app lags a lot

This is my go to option for RSS feed reading. Fast, simple, and well designed. It's a shame that a recent update has deleted my Feedly account and won't let me add it back. Developer, I've sorted since it was Quote, please fix the Google OAuth for Feedly on Nougat!

Y70%
by Y####:

I've been looking for a Press alternative for a long time. I think Newsfold is it! A gorgeous app that just does what it's supposed to do. Providing a great news reading experience. One thing that would be great is to allow grouping unread items by subscription. Scrolling through 100+ unread items can be sluggish sometimes.

Y70%
by Y####:

For a v1 this has fantastic potential. I've hit multiple bugs (submitted via email feedback) around sync and inoreader. Occasionally I'd have to remove my account and log back in to get it syncing again. No such issues occur on Feedly - if you're on Feedly, I highly recommend it, but if you're on inoreader look elsewhere.

O70%
by O####:

I LOVE this reader. Clean UI. Fast. Good navigation. However, I have two issues that keep me from using it as my only default reader: 1. It doesn't have a widget; 2. When I share an article, it doesn't share the article title (only the URL). Fix those, and I would be a paying fan.

Y70%
by Y####:

There is no better RSS reader on the market. So good I decided to support it and do not regret it. Clean and modern with all the functionality I need. Would be good to have an update every now and then. Still a few bugs to squash. Like the need to pull to refresh twice before any new data appears

F70%
by F####:

I've been looking for an alternative to Press after coming from using Unread on iOS and this app has the closest design for what I'm looking for. The extra themes are nice, and I was happy to pay to remove ads. Unfortunately I've noticed several syncing bugs with Inoreader where read items show up as unread again, and there's a delay between me pulling to refresh and new items showing up, especially in folders I've created. I've also noticed the app regularly stops responding to touches.

Y70%
by Y####:

My only problem with the app was a lack of proper syncing between my tablet, phone, and Feedly's web app (a substantial problem, obviously...). The most recent update fixed it. 5 stars for sure now!

Y70%
by Y####:

I actually prefer it to Feedly. But something that I miss is the "Today" section that Feedly has. There are hundreds of articles that are unread and I'm the type of person who like to clear all but there's no way for me to scroll through 500 news articles and the "today" section highlights the most popular headlines.

X70%
by X####:

Free version is unusable because of "gutter" ads. Pictures cropped to appear like naked chicks so people around think your looking at porn, ads disguised to look like system prompts to trick people into downloading malware apps. And the ui, and features aren't worth paying for the ad free version. There are other options that have great free versions and paid versions way better then this garbage. Also dev pays for positive reviews.

Y70%
by Y####:

I tried a few feedly readers with mixed success. This one actually surprised me. It works well, runs fluid, and is easy to use. And looks good while doing it. Thumbs up!

K70%
by K####:

The best RSS reader I've found, and I've tried them all. A very good, feature-rich newsreader that's simple to configure and use. Handles offline caching well (including images). Bidirectional Feedly sync. Full black theme. Under active development. Doesn't try to force-feed you sponsored content. I only have minor issues with Newsfold: it defaults to a full-screen view, without status and navigation bars; the icon is a bit unattractive.

Y70%
by Y####:

But still lacking features, and image caching doesn't work (or isn't supposed to?). Either way, Nice design and good direction, but I'm still looking for a Press replacement.

U70%
by U####:

The app is not only swift but also a delight to see. The only thing that stops me from removing gReader from the app drawer is the placement of the ads on the read mode (they are way less annoying on the bottom of the screen) but this one has the more polished UI.

N70%
by N####:

I've been wanting to find some nicely crafted RSS app for a very long while now. Press has always been my favorite. But Quote won my heart straight when I opened it! The UI is clean. Fresh. Every features I've been expecting are here. I became a supporter right away. It deserves to be supported! I wish it had support for feedbin (amazing paid RSS service for connoisseurs) it would have been perfect. But for now I switch to inoreader, hoping hard for feedbin to be supported sometime soon...
