Dual File Manager XT for Android
I have used Dual FM since I bought my first Android phone in 2009, and it has worked perfectly. - Regarding the Settings menu, this is an issue with Marshmallow and later versions of Android. I use the Assistant Menu to get around this. This places a floating button on the desktop (blue in Marshmallow, white in Nougat). This will allow users to access the app's menus. But having an additional icon on the screen may be irritating to some users. Having a 3-dot menu button at the top right of the screen is a great update suggestion though. - The problem with writing to SD Cards can only be solved when Google restores that ability to users, or if a user is daring enough to root their device. - Overall, this Dual FM has been my go-to app for file management.
Needs to be updated. Requires explicit 'write SD card' functionality so we can use it in a post-JellyBean droidverse, if not rooted. Until so, cannot copy/paste/delete/rename... basically, the useful stuff.
I've been using this excellent file manager on every device I've owned since Android 2.2 (FroYo) some 6 years ago! Today I have it installed on my Marshmallow phone and my Nougat tablet. There are undoubtedly more feature rich file managers available on PlayStore, but for basic everyday file management operations, Dual File Manager XT is unsurpassed. I don't think a day goes by without me using it for something. So I was very happy and somewhat surprised to see a new update available today - I'd long thought it abandoned! I'm so glad it isn't. Thanks to Medieval Software for keeping it alive, even if it is only a bugfix update. Here's to another 6 six years!
Best file manager i ever seen ======================= Two tabs allows us easily to move/copy between tabs and this is a must have app in all my andoid devices. To developer - Please introduce Action bar as latest android phones doesn't have Menu Button
It says it allows you to extract zip files with password which is totally false.Dont download this app.
Doesn't work on Nokia 6 to copy from phone to FD via otg
Has gotten worse over time.
I don't how to use this app and decrypt an encrypted zip file Pls help

Great file manager
Will not copy move ect to ext SD card on my kzoom. And i really miss this app please fix. happy to pay the app is so good on my other devices
Cant move, copy, zip, etc files to and from memory card even though it shows 'successful' message. Using android 5.1 lollipop
I cannot copy, move or delete file. using another built-in file manager. don't know what causing this.....
Not up to date with the latest Android OS. Cannot write to SD card. Menu button (the 3 dots) missing. Update the app please.
I like it. Just one thing - deleting/renaming a file might render the file corrupted with the caption still appearing in the files list
I cannot copy, move or delete file. using another built-in file manager. don't know what causing this.....
Don't know where is internal storage, SD Card storage.
Not easy to me and not neat and clean.
Easy, small space on disk and fast and practical features and direct links
...when you move a photo (or multiple photos) from one folder to another, this application strips ALL important EXIF information from the image file, such as date/time taken, camera/phone model, f-stop, shutter speed and any location information (such as GPS data.) Developer has a great app going here but the above flaw is a total bummer. Use EXTREME CAUTION and use another file manager before you move ANY of your phone's camera photos if you want to retain any of this critically important photo data!
Since I got my galaxy s5, I no longer have the menu that will let me create new folders or select all. Before this I used it on all my devices!
Its the best file manager that allows you to browse an apk file, and view the icon thumbnails.
Get lollipop and root and run sd fix this app is swume been using for years
5★ - for good multi tasking managing ability // 2★ - for its user interface truly its user interface sux // 3★ for its functionality speed I noticed as transferring speed its lil slower than ES file manager idk why even when it's light weight and don't have animations like es file manager over all 3★ for this app
Says it moved the files but actually didn't. Why is it so hard to find a file manager program that will easily move files to and from the SD card?
Worked for me fantastically, really carnt fault it once you work it out on how to use it
This app is just about like having your own file clerk and secretary. Download it today.
unable to delete or move plz fix external sd card
pop up add appear even in video plyer
There's nothing wrong with the app. When KitKat was launched, 3rd party software no longer had the ability to write to the External SD card. Only the preinstalled file browser "My Files" app has permission to save, move, rename, or delete files on external storage.
Needs a 5.1.1 fix as unable to use SD card with this app.
Cant move, copy, zip, etc files to and from memory card even though it shows 'successful' message. Using android 5.1 lollipop
Doesn't write to lollipop. Hasn't been updated in over a year. Time to look for a new app.
So sad am leaving my best app. No updates. Wish someone would listen.
Kaam krna janta h
This application don't have permission to control SD card files. This app doesn't ask file permission to save and edit.

Used across all my devices, however on my android 7 phone, I cannot get to the settings menu, so had to do with the default settings, bit annoying? On devices where it works fully, the App works very well. Maybe the settings menu should be moved to the top screen area like most applications do.
