The serial site “The Longobards in Italy. The places of the power (568-774 AD)”, is the 46th site to be included in the List of World Heritage Sites in Italy. It comprises the most important Lombard monuments present on Italian territory, located throughout the peninsula where the domains of the most important Lombard duchies were established, constituting what might be defined as the first “nation” in Italy.
