Pallavolo Ozzano

Nasciamo come settore sportivo del Circolo AICS OZZANO, circolo culturale costituitosi il 4 novembre 1978 del quale ero Presidente.
Nella stagione 79-80 a Ozzano, allora Paese di 6mila abitanti, (ora ne ha 13mila), la disciplina della Pallavolo non esisteva, quindi vennero organizzati i primi Corsi di Pallavolo tenuti da istruttori del Circolo Paolo Poggi di S. Lazzaro.
Nel 1983 nacque la prima affiliazione alla FIPAV, allora sia maschile che femminile; in quell’anno l’Ozzano vinse un Torneo contro la Zinella, e nel 1986 la prima promozione dalla 3a Divisione alla 2a.
Il 14 settembre 1987 ci fu il distacco dal Circolo AICS Ozzano con atto costitutivo e statuto della “Società Sportiva Pallavolo AICS Ozzano” depositato il 30 settembre dello stesso anno all’Ufficio Registro Atti Privati: presidente Gambi Giorgio,vice-presidente Mazza Gianfranco, segretaria Poggi Sabrina (più conosciuta come Poppi), e fra i consiglieri Bollini Andrea.
Un pensiero in più merita Gianfranco Mazza, da poco scomparso.
Fu in quegli anni che con il suo attivismo ed entusiasmo come Direttore Sportivo si susseguirono 3 promozioni consecutive in 1a Divisione , Serie D e serie C 2 Regionale, mantenuta per 3 anni. Dopo quell’ esperienza Gianfranco Mazzo si dedicò alla Fipav Regionale di cui divenne il Presidente. In the season 79-80 in Ozzano, then country of 6 thousand inhabitants, (he is now 13 thousand), the discipline of volleyball did not exist, then they were organized the first courses taught by instructors of the Volleyball Club Paolo Poggi of St. Lazarus.
In 1983 came the first affiliate to Fipav, then both men and women; in that year the Ozzano won a tournament against Zinella, and in 1986 the first promotion from the third division to the second.
The September 14, 1987 there was the separation from the Circolo AICS Ozzano with articles of incorporation and by-laws of the "Sports Club Volleyball AICS Ozzano" filed on 30 September of the same year the Office Registry Private Acts: Stems President George, vice-president Gianfranco Mazza, secretary Poggi Sabrina (better known as Poppi), and among the councilors Andrea Bollini.
A thought in most deserves Gianfranco Mazza, who died recently.
It was in those years that with his activism and enthusiasm as Sports Director were followed three consecutive promotions in 1st Division, Series D and Series C 2 Regional, maintained for three years. After that 'experience Gianfranco Bunch devoted himself to Fipav region where he became the President.
