Fra il Ticino e il Po

Il Progetto Integrato d'Area (PIA) "Fra il Ticino e il Po: alla scoperta di acque e castelli" vedrà nel corso dei prossimi anni, in avvicinamento al grande evento Expo Milano 2015, la realizzazione di 20 operazioni che coinvolgeranno ben 14 partner sull'intero territorio pavese.
Il progetti realizzati andranno a delineare un itinerario di 100 km che si snoderà lungo due assi centrali che ricalcheranno un tratto del corso del Po e un tratto del corso del Ticino: la via Francigena e il sentiero E1.
Dal Comune di Vigevano, porta fisica verso la città di Milano e l'EXPO Milano 2015, l'itinerario attraverserà dunque tutta la provincia di Pavia, sino ai confini a est con le province di Piacenza e Lodi.
I progetti nascono da un'attenta analisi del patrimonio naturalistico, storico, architettonico e culturale del territorio pavese e a vario titolo avranno come obiettivi finali, oltre alla costituzione dell'itinerario, rafforzare l'identità del territorio e donare un'importante spinta economica al comparto produttivo pavese, puntando principalmente ad accrescere le potenzialità e la fruibilità turistica del territorio attraverso l'integrazione delle risorse storiche e culturali con il sistema dei valori e delle qualità ambientali di eccellenza che connotano le aree del pavese. The projects are born from a careful analysis of the natural, historical, architectural and cultural heritage of the territory of Pavia and in various capacities will have as final objectives, in addition to the establishment of the route, reinforce the area's identity and give a major economic boost to the sector productive bunting, aiming mainly to increase the potential and usability of tourism in the area through the integration of historical and cultural resources with the system of values ​​and environmental qualities of excellence that characterize the areas of Pavia.
