Un territorio il cui patrimonio geologico e ambientale è tutelato dall’UNESCO. Con questo prestigioso riconoscimento si presenta il comprensorio del Beigua, la più vasta area naturale protetta della Liguria. Uno spettacolare balcone formato da montagne che si affacciano sul mare, ventisei chilometri di crinali montuosi a due passi dalla Riviera Ligure caratterizzati dalla presenza del Lupo, dell’Aquila reale e del Biancone, di meravigliose fioriture endemiche, di praterie e preziose zone umide, di fitte foreste di faggi, roveri, castagni e lembi di vegetazione mediterranea. L’area del Beigua custodisce anche siti di straordinario interesse culturale e storico-monumentale: la Badia di Tiglieto del 1120, il Castello medievale di Campo Ligure, il Forte Geremia di Masone, le incisioni rupestri e i tanti interessanti musei che raccontano l’identità di questa porzione di Liguria.
