FAQ:

- What Raspberry PI configuration is required to use RaspController?

1. Root password configured on Raspberry PI.
If you not already did it, you would enter in your Raspberry PI terminal:
sudo passwd root
and enter password desired.

2. SSH enabled on Raspberry PI.
To enable SSH commands enter in your Raspberry PI terminal:
sudo raspi-config
and enable SSH in the menu 'Advanced options'.

3. To allow SSH with root user.
To allow SSH commands with root user enter in your Raspberry PI terminal:
sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config
or
sudo leafpad /etc/ssh/sshd_config
and change the line:

At the end save and reboot.

4. Configure RaspController with root user.

It's wonderful and function perfect, funciona de maravilla conecta con los sensores y los puertos de salida sin problema

K70%
by K####:

Nothing works since it can't handle a password with a number in it. I can understand issues with symbols or something like that but not numbers. So stupid

K70%
by K####:

0/5 How can a password with numbers possibly generate an authentication error???

V70%
by V####:

Can't evaluate how useful the app might be because it can't use passwords with numbers. Telling me to change my password is not a solution for your failures.

Great app thanks for the great work

K70%
by K####:

Only used it briefly bit so many features even giving diagrams of how to make simple circuits and the pin outs....im going for the pro

J70%
by J####:

Looks promising, however, could not get the camera feature to work when attached from my Nexus 10. (The screen remained black - whereas another app with that feature works.)

K70%
by K####:

SSH key authentication would be nice as I have disabled password authentication and only use private/public keys. Haven't been able to test this because of that but based on screenshots and other reviews, I think everything is laid out beautifully and I think this app deserves a positive review. Missing 1 star due to no SSH key authentication.

Great app.. paid for pro as dev deserves it...hope to see more pinout diagrams and control apps like one for temp sensor as love them and a huge help...

Work perfect!

Nice app and worth paying for. Wish there was an option for changing the Celsius to Fahrenheit and adding servo controls. Camera option works but is darker than it should be. Changing the exposure does not help and increasing brightness washes out the picture. But it works well enough as long as the room is very well lit. Being able to name pins is a big plus. Overall a good app.

Love the idea, however i keep getting the error "Connection error: timeout:socket is not established" Thanks for any help!

Works perfectly even through my VPN. Would love to able to make shortcuts for my saved ssh commands.

Fullscreen ads even before you can use it. Instant uninstall.

This app worked perfectly for me on a Raspberry Pi B+ v1.2 running Wheezy. The use of SSH to control the GPIO pins means that no software needs to be running on the Raspberry Pi to control the pins. View of any unneeded pins may be removed from the UI, and with the Pro version you can use momentary contacts instead of toggling on/off. I wish the app itself offered more control over the user interface so I could hide some of the features from my non-technical wife who is confused by them, but overall this works very well.

Dont be fooled by the negative feedback. Typical reasons for "not working" could be security or infrastructure. For same network, and basic ssh authentication settings it works just fine.

Other raspberry pi apps connect, but this one won't. Too bad. Wait (a year later) I can connect to my Linux server with this. Cool. I'll have to try the RPI again.

App crashes continuously while trying to connect to my pi! Calls for some serious testing before making the app public..

This works great over the internet using a 3G connection or internal LAN to control my Raspberry Pi's GPIO, fantastic work!

H70%
by H####:

The only free function is to set gpio, but that didn't work.

I70%

Does nothing but prompt you to pay for any feature, bait and switch, hate any dev that plays that game. If you want money then say so up front, be honest and maybe you will do better
