About TV (Apple) Remote Control
Simple unofficial (this app is not in any way affiliated with the Apple Inc.) Apple TV IR remote control for Android phones and tablets with built-in IR blaster (Samsung Galaxy, HTC ONE, LG G2 etc). It's also compatible with other Apple devices with an infrared receiver (some MacBook Pro, iMac, iPod dock etc). The purpose is not to replace the original remote, but it is handy in emergency situations (original remote is lost, empty batteries etc).
★ Works with Samsung phones and tablets with built-in IR-blaster
★ Works with some phones with Android compatible built-in IR-blaster and Android 4.4 KitKat (like HTC ONE).
★ You must point your phone’s IR blaster directly at the TV. Usual working range is 5-10 (max ~15) ft.
★ No additional hardware is needed.
★ No need to jailbreak your Apple TV.
★ No full screen ads, no push notification ads or any kind of similar pop-up ads!
With some phones in power saving mode or with almost empty battery the IR blaster might not work or range is less then 5 ft.

Our 3 year old lost the apple remote and we looked everywhere for it. I suddenly thought to look on Google play. This app did what we needed to do, which was turn on the apple tv and YouTube for Christmas music... you saved this mom and dads sanity. Thank you

It used to work so good on all my apple tvs. Whether they were the second or third generation, it didn't matter. Plus, I liked it better than the actual apple TV remote. Then, it stopped working. The center circle button would work, and the menu button. That is all. I wish this problem could get fixed. I have had a hard time finding another remote I can use with my phone, and is compatible with Apple Tv. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing has worked. Uninstalling now. :-(

It works on my android samsung galaxy s6 phone but it is VERY slow. I ended up deleting this app and installed "Air Remote Free" and ended up liking that app way better! It's so much faster and I don't have to hold the button forever for the receiver to get signal. I was having to hold my phone almost a foot away from the apple TV with this.

No programming necessary, worked just fine with my iTunes. Menu doesn't work well, but just really need it to pause/play, adjust volume, and change tracks. Also seeing as it works with pretty much all macbooks, could be used as a good prank in class. Start blasting someone's trap music in the middle of women's studies or what not, ya know. Haven't tried it myself yet, but I'm sure it would be quite entertaining.

So far, so good, a handy little app. I like it. No syncing needed, works right away & it doesn't cancel out the sync on your regular Apple TV remote. The only thing is there is no short cut to the main screen which is minor.

Thanks to my kids, the remote is either hidden or in the garbage. Thank God we live in a time where an app can solve most problems. Thank you soooooo much for having this, it has saved my wallet a lot of stress.

The up button on my Apple TV remote stopped working and I was about to spend $30 on a new one until I thought to look for this! One improvement will earn this app 5 stars: incorporate a keyboard to make searching simpler!

This app really came through for me when my battery died on the real remote. Best part was I didn't have to unsync the other remote, everything works right away. Pretty cool. Using an S6.

It won't turn on. I see my phone and the apple tv communicating (apple tv will blink lights a few times), then nothing. Disappointed.

Was extremely easy to set up,just install point and it worked perfectly. Pair that with some simplistic clean layout and simple but super nifty features we have a winner right here. So far best appletv remote I've found for my phone.
