Iperf ext for Android
Doesn't work on lollipop; transparent backgrounds make app useless
never liked transparent terminals -- now i know i loathe transparent mobile apps. you know how you draw a picture and it's good but you keep adding more and more things? app's ui has same feel. less is more.
of course there are only 2 iperf apps I have found and the other one does not always write to the screen and is flakey. The transparency is silly, but it's free and works well.
Unbelievably bad!!!!!!! JUST DON'T BOTHER!!!!
If I supply a hostname to the -c option, it tells me I need to put a space between the option and its arguments, no matter how many spaces I add between them. If I supply an IP address, it simply says "Operation aborted. Test is done." If I run in server mode, it also gives "Operation aborted. Test is done." This occurs on an ASUS Transformer TF-101. Other iperf apps work fine, so it doesn't look like an issue with the tablet.
there are no good points to this app.
needs to have a splash background and perhaps looking at iperf3 or jperf for ideas into how the app is presented would be of advantage to the developer. it also is unreliable as on occasions the application does not even work back to the drawing board!!
