The story:
We grew tired of unreliable forecasts that weren't even relevant to where we were standing, so we set out to create a forecast that we could use for ourselves.
We wanted to know for sure if it was going to rain at the stadiums for our fantasy sports teams. Or when the surprise summer rain shower is going to end, so we can walk out of the grocery store with our chicken wings and beer, umbrellaless.
We solved this with hyperlocal forecasts (down to your exact street address using GPS instead of a useless city-level view that you see on TV) and tossed out the idea of a 'percent chance of rain' and just tell you how MUCH it's going to rain/snow (what we call Raindex). Pleasant bird bath drizzle or a day-ruining torrential downpour? Big difference!
What's with the name "Weather Girl"? Well, we had a totally different idea originally, then when our code actually worked, we just went with the actual forecasting thing. We still may do something with the 'girl' idea, but for now, isn't she just lovely to look at?

Using samsung galaxy note 4 ; although connected to the Internet , everytime I try to check my weather, it says "unable to connect , please open settings" , have changed wifi , still not working ! When I "exit" weather gorl" ,after a few seconds (in a different screen) , weather girl "says , can't connect" . I have been using interest for other apps ! Annoying, as it WAS the best weather app

I have found this app to be really accurate with the weather with the prodictions of the intensity of the rain and for the start and finish time of when it's going to rain. I'm hoping they do a widget that you could have that gives the same info with the rain starting and ending. And if it's anything like the main part of the app it should be great. All I can say is this app is brilliant I highly recommend it an easy 5 star. Keep up the great work your doing and thanks.

I've been trying this app for a week now. I'll update my thoughts in a couple of weeks. These are my first impressions. Good interface. Simple graphics. However, the main aim is to predict the weather. That's where the unreliable comes in. I spent yesterday at Aberdare Golf Club and today at Celtic Manor. For both days the app reported the weather to be overcast without rain. The first part of the prediction was correct. The second part most definitely was not!

Similar problem, can't change my home address, it's listed as next door . Under postcode ,YO74HF, My postcode is YO74HD . Will not allow me to update manually . Uninstalled &re installed several times (once with location off , still unable to rectify . (Samsung Galaxy Note 4) so only 3 stars , will rate higher after address is fixed and I've got used to things , a lot of what you say (in help) does not work . Chrome is not my main search engine , I do have it installed (not technical enough 2 understa

Very reliable and informative. During Hurricane Hermine we got more information from this app than the Weather Channel. For local weather this is the best!

This looks more like an early beta test version than a released app. The time's an hour out, the radar map doesn't work, and the rainfall labels include the terms "lidium" and "$#!%!" - all obvious errors. The rainfall / temperature chart spans 48 hours, which means the time resolution is too coarse. Unlike other apps, it doesn't seem possible to get an hourly forecast for anything other than today.

I've been using Weathergirl since it's website launched. In my opinion, it's more accurate than the other weather apps out there. It is usable in almost any weather situation, but it's real advantage is if you're a big sports fan. They have the weather forecasts for any outdoor stadium: baseball, football, NASCAR, etc. Keep up the good work.
