About Kelvin Sense Thermometer

Take the temperature anywhere.
Kelvin Sense Thermometer uses the existing device as-is to accurately measure the temperature anywhere around you. The thermometer needs no external hardware, and measures the temperature within seconds, helping you easily collect data in your environment.

Learn information about the conditions in your environment that may help you do things more accurately, avoid mishaps, save energy & money and be more comfortable.

• Read the temp around you: Kelvin Sense measures the temperature surrounding your device, rather than the temperature of the device itself or a reading from a weather tower up to 100 miles away.
• No external hardware needed: Kelvin Sense is the ONLY ambient air thermometer that uses existing hardware on your device with no external sensor needed.
• Easy conversions: Temperatures are measured in degrees Celsius, Fahrenheit and of course, Kelvin!
• Accurate and portable: Kelvin Sense is a thermometer for your device that is more accurate than plastic and more portable than glass.
• No internet needed: Rather than accessing external weather services, Kelvin Sense measures the temperature of the ambient air surrounding you.
• Measurements in seconds: No stand-by time is needed; temperatures are given within minutes.
• No ads, no spam.

I am curious to see how it works. But I've been waiting for several months, and the app has never worked. Doesn't really do anything, just shows a sad face. I'm sorry but I can't give you a decent review when it doesn't do anything at all... Update, I tried it on my new phone (Pixel), still same thing. The app literally does nothing, may as well be just a picture.

The what's new in the app description list the OnePlus one but when you install it it says not supported. What gives?

Y70%
by Y####:

Does literally nothing. Just shows a blank reading. Waste of time. Don't download this.

S70%
by S####:

On GS5, it doesn't work. It displays no temperature value.

Y70%
by Y####:

Why not say in description that my device isn't supported? It's a very popular phone (S7)

A70%

I didn't get any temperature reading

Worked smoothly with my note 4.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of people install not knowing there phone doesn't have a thermometer and what this app does to get around that. It's actually pretty cool, not that I understand it at all. I'm also glad it told me my device is not supported so I don't have to figure out if its inaccurate in the case where the devs know there is/could be an issue. I have a Nexus 5x and hope to get support in the future. Otherwise thanks for trying to solve the hard to impossible and saving me the time.

Installed it and it gave me a reading of -100F in California!!

On my HTC One M8 the readings are within a couple degrees F. Using it to confirm thermostat settings throughout my home is a huge plus, especially with winter on its way!

O70%
by O####:

Completely useless. Temperature displayed is unrelated to reality. Tried it again now and it's bouncing between 58 and 114. Actual temp is 67 or so.

X70%
by X####:

The app said my room was -102°C. It is 28°C, so just a little off. Took it outside where it was 46°C and the temp. stayed the same. Skip it... it's a waste.

It's a cold frosty morning here but according to this ridiculous app it seems to think I'm somewhere tropical, like Fiji.

Uninstalled due to significant battery usage in background. Concept was interesting enough to try it out, but used about a third of a battery charge.

S70%
by S####:

On my oneplus one running the cutting edge cm12.1 nightly, this app has never been accurate in displaying temperature. I was proactive enough to raise a ticket with their "support" team, but response has been minimal and no progress. The key pull quick settling tile is immovable and the all plus website UI clunky and inaccurate. Avoid this app until they've actually managed to get it working to a minimum level. Installed after over a months hopeful wait.

In my quick setting I don't see option for thermometer. I have OnePlus One with Cyanogen OS. The app works ok.

S70%
by S####:

On my Oneplus One the estimate is all over the map.

I discovered this app through an article posted by Cyanogenmod about their new Platform SDK. I'm really excited to see the things that SenseAI can contribute to the OS. Awesome work! It would be great if the app could do a little more, like perhaps taking periodic readings and organizing them into an appealing visual. Or maybe offering comparisons to weather data. I could even imagine this app demonstrating climate change data, or something similar.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. This app works great on this device. I don't use a case on the phone and have tested the accuracy in various temperatures. I can confirm an accuracy within 1 degree. I have had the most accurate results when the screen brightness is set to %100 and the phone has minimal contact with a surface.

S70%

Keeps the phone awake. Internet actually needed, first start fails without it.

Z70%

Outstanding app.

K70%

Play Store says my device is supported (Google Nexus 5), but upon installation the app says it's not supported and would I mind spending time to help them get this working? An offer to send a gift card might make that a bit more tempting. It also made me 'register' the app before I could even see if it would work, asking for my email and a password. I gave it fake info, it doesn't need that to take a temp, but since it can't take the temp either then right now this app just harvests data. Uninstalled, maybe it'll work in the future.

N70%
by N####:

When the app was being configured for my device, it said there was a connection problem. But I did turn on both data and WiFi connection.

K70%
by K####:

I'm not impartial, but this works great on my Galaxy S5.
