Lingvist: learn a language – fast for Android
The app is great but the keyboard keeps dissappearing after each answer, and there is no way to stop it from doing it. It's almost unusable for me.
This app is great. There are some small bugs, much like autocorrect, but they are rare indeed. Overall, I love this app. I really learned a lot and expanded my French vocabulary. Thanks Lingvist
It streamlines the process of learning a language, especially spanish! I get excited when I learn new grammar and vocabulary!
Disgustingly high subscription cost which sours an otherwise fantastic app. More than happy to pay for subscription apps but your pricing is miles off the mark.
They don't have many languages, for me I wanted korean
It's perfectly simple. Easy to pick up and get going. Nothing compares to a regimented class but this is great for learning conversational German.
Apps pretty darn good but man alive the pricing is crazy. Was up for paying but over 20€ a month is very high. See Babbel for more realistic prices.
I love this app, it's really helpuf. If you really want improve your vocabulary, you must to downland it ✊ I recommend this app for beginers.
The website, software and/or app to learn something should be open code or free.
I am learning German easily now! I did want to learn Italian though but it isn't an option
Love it! Better than my spanish classes at skool
Viele danke !!!
It is so cool that it helps you speak other other languages
so far so good. Modern vocabulary and easy way to learn.
Thank you for design. That is important for me.
C'est bon
Very usefull app.
Very good
Best app
Nice review
Gooood
I love it so far but I wish we could choose which dialect we want to learn... Learning the Spain dialect of Spanish isn't very helpful for anyone who doesn't live in Europe and I would prefer not to have my answers marked incorrect for being in ustedes instead of vosotros form... I would much rather be able to choose to practice in the Mexican dialect given that that's what I and everyone around me speaks
It's totally okay for me that this app wants to make some money. Well, it's a cool app. It deserves it. But to be frank, the current subscription fee is nothing but ridiculously high. So i have chosen to be a free user. But being unable to see the word list really tortures me. Besides, could you please take off the reminder to persuade me to switch to unlimited version which is everywhere in the app? It's a bit of annoying.
The concept is good however the subscription fees are extortionate. Regardless if you were to increase the content or extend the trial compared to other language apps, Lingvist's pricing is astronomical. You'd get more users actually buying subscriptions (if any) if you lowered the price. You have to consider a lot of students/young people use apps like this one but would prefer to use free/cheaper alternatives.
Good app. Very learner Friendly, but needs to be a trial for 30 days, not 1 day. To see if your interest level is maintained the more complex the levels are and how much more progress is made, further down the line....so one can test, it's durability as an app. Some learning apps i.e. Duolingo can only hold your attention so long, after which it is no longer challenging or you feel no solid progress is being made. Longvist is useful for the long term and very professional...I would rather pay £4.99 for the whole app, than monthly payments of astronomical amounts...which is frankly ridiculous!!! Also, a pause button would be useful, since it is being timed and you may need to multitask with others things, so you can return later.
Too costly. At 1750 rupees per month, a string of fill in the blanks to learn a language is too ambitious. Apps have limited effectiveness for learning languages with no way to listen to native speakers speak, insufficient grammar. Find another app.
for that price you can just buy a program to own or take a real Spanish class! Also the idea of typing each word you don't know if silly. I don't even care to know correct spelling i want to speak the language not write it!!
This review was for a previous version of the app. I was urged to update and as soon as I did so I was informed that my trial period was over. Apparently the only reason I was begind urged to update was because my older version hadn't got the message that the app was moving to a subscription model. This is unfortunate and felt vaguely deceptive. The function where you say a word out loud to finish a sentence is genius. I love the built in dictionary that explains the other words in a sentence and the convenient grammar tips.
I found it very useful especially for learning german as it has hints for gender and the cases but the new subscription fees is very expensive for the features it offers, I understand that one has to pay for apps and support developers but not that amount of money!!
It's a good app, but there is no way on earth that you can justify those insane subscription costs especially for the limited content that you are providing. Who ever is in charge of pricing this app is out of their minds.
It's a nice app but the pricing is ridiculous. I still had words to review but was cut off from reviewing them or learning anything else unless I pay the hefty subscription fee...
I think it works and I find this app very useful. However, I would like to be able to work on practiced cards once I have reached the 50 new word limit. I can't necessarily even reach 100 cards because of this and as a student I am unable to pay for a subscription.
It's a great app that's genuinely improved my French. The one feature I request is the option to translate the message in conversation challenges. Also the premium pricing is ludicrous.
I feel this app is mainly for beginners to learn the basics. If you are someone familiar with one of the languages that they have listed, it won't necessarily perfect your language. However, it is a good start
This is my favorite language learning app for Android. It offers a wider vocabulary than most. Unfortunately, the price for the premium version is way too high. I'd pay $2-3 per month, but the cheapest option available is more than twice that much. So I withhold the fifth star and use the free version until the prices are more reasonable.
Easy and fun. Puts words in context, lets you see grammatical explanations if you like, sets clear goals and shows you your progress.
The pricing is unreasonable. Also, it's impossible to review words after having learned 50, an obvious bug.
Well-made app, great service -- a much more thoughtful, serious, and effective approach to language learning than Duolingo, for one.
What are you talking about!! I wanted to learn Spanish for ages! And this app has helped a lot. I have only been learning for two days and I already know 68 words. Some of the other apps are just as good or better, I know that but this app is really good! Maybe as a suggestion though you should start with words like "good morning " or "hello" instead of president. Other than that though its really good! I do recommend it.

App contains a bug in the last two versions that makes it unusable for me. I would file a bug report, but that's an "Unlimited" feature only available to paying customers.
