The tank utility monitor and app seem to work as promised. Setup is a little labor intensive as requires a separate app. My main frustration has been with customer service. This is an expensive device. The mounting option is just ok. It is one weak magnet and washer. I spent two months trying to pay for another matching mount. No help from customer service other than "let us know what you find that works."

App says 55% and unit is at 28%. Not sure what the issue is. Was working for all summer and now not. No way to call them...

I can see my tank level, so that's good. Hitting the back button just flashes the screen, it should exit the app. No ability to set a notification? No ability to watch for excessive use? No ability to change the refresh times or get an instant update. Could do a lot more with the data. Update: Apparently you can set an alert if you tap the tank, so just a terrible user interface there.

V2 is a great product and a great way to avoid running out of propane which is a big hassle for a house that relies on it for cooking, heat and hot water. Now my smart home is really smart. Email notification has saved me the hassle once already, and before tank utility, I ran out and they have to test the whole system by a certified tech before refilling. App is simple but very effective. Glad to have the product.

So far so good, it took me about 5 minuets total to get this configured up and running. I have never run out of Propane, but I am always worried about it, with this app and the related hardware I will probably never have to worry about it again.

This is a very simple app along with the Tank Utility hardware can be used to monitor the level of propane in your tanks. I use this to monitor the tanks on a vacation property and it does the job. It is not very fancy. It does the very minimum of showing the tank level, providing an history, and providing e-mail alerts when the tank get down to a configured level. I would give it 5 stars if it had some advanced analysis capabilities, such as rate calculations, alerting at different levels, alerting via phone or text.

The problem with the every 6 hours, is that when using it on a tank with high demand of propane, it does not update often enough. I'm thinking of generators, they use ruffly 4 - 8 gallons per hour.

The alert ⚠ email that reminds you that the tank level is below your set point, does NOT show the name of the tank. Where this is a problem is when you have more than one tank on your account.

Does exactly what I wanted. Initial setup is a little concerning but it works once you get the hang of the light pattern. Be sure to record the unit ID somewhere safe. Tank capacity is actual # of gallons of propane that are loaded. 500gal tank holds 575gal H2O. Use 500. A full tank is 80%.
