You guys have clearly put in a lot of work with this product! Love all the integrations. Just needs SmartThings and Tasker. Also appreciate the Mac app. Update: holy hell...just found the Tasker stuff. Nice! Update2: Just got it working with smartthings. Click it, bedroom fan on. Dbl click, phone reads last text msg. etc.

I've been using Flic for a short time and it's frustrating because of the inconsistent connection to my phone. (Samsung S6). I was hoping for direct compatibility with Wink Hubs, not a separate hub.

Flic button doesn't always connect to the phone, especially if been disconnected or device has been unused for some time. Serious bug that they say they can't fix.. Sounds like blame games.

S70%
by S####:

It does not allow launching shortcuts, only applications. There are even some problems with that as well. The publisher seems to have abandoned their community support website. There are just tons of spam there and nobody is maintaining it.

B70%
by B####:

Very good idea however realisation is not perfect. Can't use this button to answer incoming call! Also mute functionality hasn't got visibility on the phone so it is not known whether phone muted or nor. Well done guys keep trying...

Not reliable. The flics keep putting themselves into a manually disconnected state (automatically) so I have to manually activate them again. Big delay switching stuff on and off due to them being Bluetooth which means something had to convert the signal to the smart standards of zigbee and zwave. Only 3 functions per button and who wants loads of little buttons stuck or scattered all over their house anyway? Buy one or two to help with automation in the car but go with voice recognition for the rest of your smart home

The Flic app goes is the official app for Flics (or Flic buttons). They work pretty much exactly as described if you read all the material on their website before you buy them. They're a little iffy on iOS, and work considerably better on Android. One of the issues people have is the app disconnecting. If you leave your house, you need to let your phone reconnect to your Wi-Fi before the buttons work. On iOS, the app needs to be open all the time. We solved this problem by using a cheap Android tablet as a server tablet to run various home automation apps. Solved all of our problems for around 30 bucks. Not bad. I haven't had a single problem with the app itself. No crashes, and works exactly as described on multiple mobile devices, both rooted and unrooted, Android and iOS.

Worst software and connectivity of all time. THE WORST. Never stays connected, just useless.

Nice concept, well made button. Let down by inconsistent connection.

Good idea but quite a few task options in the app just don't work. For example, triggering WiFi and shortcuts.

I'm just starting to use my buttons. The app seems to do what it's supposed to do. I'll update here with more experience.

These buttons would be great if they worked but they randomly stop functioning every few days ,and tech support barely responds. Two weeks typically between responses and still no solution. I am stuck with 6 useless buttons. Stay away from flic.

Would be great if it worked with android 7. Randomly won't reconnect. When it works out works well. Tried unchecking optimization of app and anything to do with Bluetooth with no luck. Will Chuck it in the cupboard and try again in 6 months, yep I'm disappointed had high hopes,

This is such a great idea. I bought 2 flic's to play with, a location only and general function. I was disappointed the location only button doesn't make use of at least single and double click. But I have also found the UI of the app quite difficult. There is a ellipses button and a settings button on most screens, and I would really like to be able to see a history or log of when the button was pressed.

I bought flic mainly to be able to play my spotify playlist on my android. I was very disappointed to find out I didn't have that feature.

Actually all works well on my Fairphone 2 Android 5.1 lollipop, but Flic hammers my firewall on port 443 even if not actively running. Maybe keep an eye on flics responds time while making further software improvements.

Bought flic to be able to use google voice to activate phone calls while I am in my car, didn't work on my Samsung S6 because of the lock screen, now I have a Samsung S8 it still does not work, even with the lockscreen off it just gives a buzzer sound and an error "Flic - Google Voice Activation - unable to start speech recognition" .. I am very disappointed.

Works so far, had it a couple weeks. I take my phone in and out of range of it five times a day, and (knock on wood) it re-pairs itself instantly. Voice recognition in general still sucks (you know it) so I wanted a one-button solution to call my partner via the hands-free in the car. No scrolling, no selecting, just push the button to call him. This is it. Phone pairs to both the car and the flic seamlessly, so I don't have to think.

by S####:

It's a neat little button, but I bought it to work with Android Auto so I could trigger Google voice with a button press instead of trying to scream over my music. The Google voice action pulls up Google now outside of Android auto instead of the one built in to Android auto. This makes most tasks not work or take longer than they should. Add better functionality with Android Auto or better yet more customization of action and this will be a solid product.

Quite good. Most of the time it works very well. It's not plagued by Bluetooth connection issues as I might have expected. Some omissions, like if one light is already on and the other is off the toggle mode swaps them round rather than turning both off or on. But it has a good range of integrations. Basically it can act as a switch for smart products like lights, it can record data like a number of times you did something or the time, say brushing your teeth. Or can it can perform a simple online action like sending a message or ordering a pizza.
